MSM is realizing they’re going the way of dinosaurs and they are irrelevant. Must be a hard pill for them to swallow, having been so powerful for a couple of centuries. “Buh BYE!”

The talking heads on morning joe axed the same question this morning. They are beside their little selves. Funny to watch them flounder. They want to be able to churn the info from the Trump camp and have been eviscerated.

Candy from a baby. What babies .... when will they come to realize that *they* are the reason why President Trump is doing end runs around them.

WINNING

“All in 140 characters or less.”

That was yesterday’s enemedia meme.

The day before was “without evidence” regarding Trump’s comments about illegals voting. “Chaotic transition” is another. So easy to see who’s on Journo-list or using daily talking points.

Gotta go. I’m a grandma and Chuckie Schumer says I’m about to be thrown over the cliff again.

Should news outlets ignore untrue tweets? Should the world ignore the lies printed by the news outlet?

I don’t have a Twitter account. I hate the entire social media thing. But wth Trump as president, I may go ahead and open an account so I can get what he says unfiltered.

Amen and amen. With FR, I get my important DJT tweets here.

I don’t know about that. I read most of my news on my iPad. Whenever there is a link mentioned on Twitter I have difficulty accessing it. On my pc I think it is different.”

I haven’t tried it on my iPad but I cant read twitter just fine on my iPhone. Did you get the app on your iPad?

FDR fireside chats - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fireside_chats

Roosevelt understood that his administration's success depended upon a favorable dialogue with the electorate — possible only through methods of mass communication — and that the true power of the presidency was the ability to take the initiative. The use of radio for direct appeals was perhaps the most important of FDR's innovations in political communication.[1]:153 Roosevelt's opponents had control of most newspapers in the 1930s and press reports were under their control and involved their editorial commentary. Historian Betty Houchin Winfield says, "He and his advisers worried that newspapers' biases would affect the news columns and rightly so."[2] Historian Douglas B. Craig says that he "offered voters a chance to receive information unadulterated by newspaper proprietors' bias" through the new medium of radio.

Concur 100% with your post, Yaelle.
Twitter would be CRAZY to suspend President Trump's account...yet leftwingers certainly do insane things...as we have seen often.
My hope is President Trump eventually has a Twitter-like communication avenue that does *not* depend upon others.

There real question is can we control the message like we always have in the past or is Trump’s end run going to persist.

They hate it that he can go over their heads.

They are suffering from “irrelevancy anxiety”.

The press is now relegated to devoting entire segments to discuss Trump tweets. They have instantly been rendered no longer relevant.

To them, all things Trump is treated as news because he’s the only reason any of them have any ratings at all anymore...

Not only do they cover his tweets, they write articles about covering his tweets and they spend airtime arguing about his tweets. And search thru his advisers old tweets. And ask Republicans what they think about his tweets. And has orgasms when some retarded liberal - like Fauxcohontas - responds to his tweets. Then dismiss his tweets as meaningless rants, only to wait with baited breath for his next tweet.

"...hinted that he might upend current free speech laws by banning flag burning."

This is part of what's wrong with how the media is dealing with Trump. He did not do what they said here. What he did was express his personal opinion that something should happen to flag burners. Not that something will happen. Not that the law is going to change. Not that he's going to ignore the law and enforce his opinion. Not that he's going to propose a constitutional amendment to ban flag burning. None of that. Just his own personal opinion that something ought to happen to them.

They keep reacting to everything he says as if it was an official pronouncement of policy and enforced with Presidential power. They should just accept his tweets for what they are, the personal opinions of one person, who happens to be the next President. As President, if he actually wants to do anything, it won't be through a tweet. They should react to that.

Well, the Nation did watch FDR on TV talking about the Depression according to V.P. Joe Biden.

FDR would have Tweeted instead, but he was hampered by Polio and couldn’t manipulate the touch Keyboard on his iPhone.

Between Hillary and Trump, only one of them pushed Legislation in the Senate to outlaw Flag Burning.

Hint: Trump has never served as a United States Senator.

you don’t need a twitter account to read his tweets.

"exactly.

No "Twitter" for me - but I do have Facebook - to keep in touch with my strung-out family - and I get the Donald's 'tweets' there -

Plus, of course, FOX News LIVE - on YouTube. Altho' I prefer his direct words - even FOX talking heads like to put their twist on anything he says.

FDR did his "Fireside Chats" via the mode of the day: radio. - Trump can continue his direct contact to US with the "new media" -

Personal Chats"?
