He still has to get stuff passed through a tight senate and he will probably not be up against a candidate with as much baggage as HRC had in 2020. Like I said, I don’t like it but understand it.

There are still rank and file republicans that like the Paul Ryans and Mitt Romney’s of the world. I know 3 personally among my close friends (mostly post-grad school guys) - 2 that voted for Johnson and 1 that unbelievably voted for HRC. I prefer someone besides Romney and Patreaus. I’d love a solid Paleo-con in that role. But I understand what Trump is doing and will give him the benefit of the doubt for the time being if he goes that direction.

IMHO, Trump is talking to Romney to show him who really is more knowledgable in foreign policy. The look on Romney’s face is that of one who hasn’t done his homework and Trump is beating him badly in terms of foreign policy knowledge.

The brilliance of this is that Romney will now know the STFU!

He IS the boss, he knows what he is doing. I cannot even name a wrong move he has made in his run up to the presidency. Better to have an obvious critic close. Good for Romney to see why he himself is NOT pres. Maybe Trump can teach him. 😉

You gotta love these Monday Morning Quarterbacks who have probably never been a CEO of a large corporation attacking Trump for his picks. Trump is the boss. People under him don't make policy, they carry out policies directed by him.

To have an Administration packed with like-minded sycophants is a recipe for failure. He'll want to preside over meetings where there will be lots of voices and lots of conflicting thoughts and ideas. Then, he'll make the decision and expect everyone to follow through. If anyone in his Administration fails to carry out what the boss decides, well then...

The rule is supposed to be, when the election is over, we all get behind the President. It sure looks like it’s what Romney is doing.

If he has the heart to forgive, then.....

This has nothing to do with forgiveness. I doubt Trump forgives him. If Trump isn't stringing him along then he is trying to emasculate the entrenched enemies in the RNC.

How can the GOPe attack Trump on foreign policy if their guy, Romney, is SoS? Same with naming McConnell's wife, Chao, and naming Priebus Chief of Staff. He is shutting down the old guard in the Republican party.

How about we wait until something actually happens?

It looks to me like things are happening all over the world.

I keep seeing this but, haven’t made the connection.

Romney sold him his e-mail list, which is why I got multiple solicitation e-mails from him during the election.

He and his running mate are still on Twitter trashing Donald Trump. They apparently have nothing against Hillary or any living Democrat.

Well, then I hope GOPe guys will like the taste of winning and wielding power for the good of good Americans, and expel the globalist drivel they bought into.

Or, he’s giving Mittens enough rope for a good hard drop and stop.
