Newt Gingrich said Tuesday that President-elect Donald Trump’s biggest mistake since the election was his claiming without any evidence that millions of votes were illegally cast on Election Day.
"The president of the United States can't randomly tweet without having somebody check it out," Gingrich, a vice chair on Trump's transition team, told USA Today’s Susan Page during an appearance on the Capital Download video series. “I mean it just— It makes you wonder about whatever else he's doing. It undermines much more than a single tweet."
On Sunday, Trump falsely (sic) claimed that “millions” of people voted illegally, preventing him from winning the popular vote. A widely-shared article on the conspiracy website InfoWars, whose creator, Alex Jones, Trump has praised in the past, cited a non-existent report to make an identical bogus claim.

The Trump campaign was rightly concerned about massive fraud. Their team no doubt has very good evidence of massive voting by illegals in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Illinois, Teas, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona and California. No doubt Trump is aware of their findings and is miffed that the fraud has cost him the “popular vote”. Newt is wrong. It remains a critically important issue. The globalist left Democratic Party has no problem with illegal aliens voting in American elections. They view every human as a citizen of the world free to migrate wherever they wish and vote in any locale they are residing. Newt knows better than most that such trivialities such as US law and the US Constitutions mean little to these globalist Democrats. Yes over 3 million illegals voted in this American election and came close to electing the vile Hillary Clinton

Gingrich is wrong. Obama told them to vote and they did in record numbers...even more than the 2.8M in 2012 and the 1M in 2008. Americana realize this and it will be proven in due time and it will be the catalyst for a required federal ID for all citizens.
I am thinking Newt likes the TV pundit gig and needs to look for a network and therefore take some shots at Trump
The butt hurt is very strong with Newt these days, ever since he learned he’s not nearly important to Mr. Trump as he thinks he is. My suggestion: STFUNG.
Trump needs to keep Newt at a long arm’s distance. I love the Newtster but he has diarrhea of the mouth.
However, Newt is making an assumption that Trump has not done the investigative work to verify the number to reasonable standards.
And Trump may actually have proof.
It is also VERY bad to be taking a position on fraud in this election when you may have lawyers who need to contradict that assertion in the Stein election contests.
Trump may have helped documented Stein's allegations of potential vote fraud in Penn that helps the Green's court case to contest the election.
This is Gingrich’s achille’s heal. He can’t keep his foot out of his mouth. Or his knife out of other people’s back.
As I’ve Posted before, a Conservative thinks that ONE Illegal Vote is one too many.
A Liberal thinks 3,000,000 Illegal Votes is a good start.
Seriously, Newt? We’ve read time and again and seen time and again illegals voting. We’ve heard how many demoncrats brag how many times they’ve voted. Nope, sorry, that was the last straw.
Let’s not overlook the fact that Obama endorsed illegals voting. There is a YouTube video in which he says that if you vote you’re a citizen?! Why was that not a lead story?

He knows full well that there are tens of millions of illegal votes every election, and they all go to democrats.
And he didn’t just let Sanchez steal the seat, he paid her campaign costs through one of his donors.
And what does Gingrich says about the President encouraging illegals to vote?
The important point remains. Unknown amounts of illegals and dead people are voting in our elections. And with motor voter, the lack of photo ID, and unpurged voter rolls, we are encouraging it.
There’s Gingrich doing what he loves to do, again - stabbing people in the back.
Is there anyone left who doesn’t know how toxic he is?
