Did Hillary Clinton just squander her "get out of jail free" card?
Fox News ^ | November 28 , 2016 | Gregg Jarrett

Hillary Clinton has never played the board game, “Monopoly”. How do we know? Because even novice players learn quickly that you always hang on to a “get out of jail free” card. No matter what. . Clinton had such a card… and has managed to recklessly squander it. So what happens now? Will she draw that other dreaded card: “Go to jail. Go directly to jail. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $ 200” ? For Clinton, who could face serious criminal jeopardy, this is no game. Post-Election Rapprochement The night Clinton lost the presidency, she telephoned Donald Trump to concede. We now know that it was President Obama who persuaded Clinton to make the gracious concessiccon. Hillary Clinton’s decision to embrace a challenge to Trump’s election is both confounding and inexplicable. Why would she chance angering the very individual who holds her fate in his hands?

I was wrong about Shrillary.
I made an ERROR.

I'd rather be wrong once in a while than be an ignoramus like you ALL THE TIME. I'm sure that you are a VERY NICE ignoramus, though.

Well, my ignorance is showing. Nixon was before my time and I was unaware that one could be pardoned prior to being charged with anything.

It was done, but it has not been challenged in a court system. That is my understanding.

She never had any LEADERSHIP experience. Senators aren’t leaders; they are legislators.

The one “smart” thing she did in life was hitch herself to Bill’s wagon. I have smart in quotes because while it got her to the White House, it also involved a heavy dose of humiliation and suffering. Oh well.

If it weren’t for Bill, she’d be an obscure third rate DC lawyer (assuming she ever passed the DC bar exam). Probably retired and alcoholic.

All true. Sad, but true.
She had ambitions beyond her personality.

She may yet retire and become an alcoholic. New York has plenty of rehab centers. It might do her a WORLD of good.

Here is another take.

When Donald Trump in his interview at The New York Times spoke in a manner which suggested that he was not going to prosecute Hillary Clinton, that suggestion was an utter repudiation of his explicit campaign promises to appoint a special prosecutor.

It seems that there are only two interpretations which fit, either Trump was indulging his habit of thoughtless and imprecise language or he was consciously reneging on a fundamental promise he made as candidate. Either way, the public perception now is that it is the policy of the Trump administration not to prosecute Hillary Clinton.

In decrying this as a repudiation of Trump's promise to drain the swamp and an assault on the concept of the rule of law, I was zotted for "trolling." A remarkable accusation of one who arose in defense of the rule of law, against the rule of man, and in favor of cleaning up the corruption of Washington. I had posted my view that it was necessary to criticize Trump for these ill considered words at the New York Times because there was still the hope that he might reconsider and let justice take its course.

Now Trump is boxed and boxed by his own words, equally so whether they were uttered thoughtlessly or cynically, Trump now will be accused of a political vendetta if he appoints a special prosecutor or if his administration initiates its own prosecution of Hillary Clinton. It will be said, and many will believe, that the prosecution is motivated out of revenge for Hillary participating in a recount, as many on this forum have already suggested Trump should do.

It's now all the more unlikely that justice will take its course.

This is silly for even Fox,

—Hillary is not getting a pardon from Obama, he has no need to protect himself and won’t do it.
— Hillary is not going to prison. Her political career (her life) is over. The last thing President Trump wants to do is waste time on has-beens, we have enough important things to deal with in the present.

I know there is a segment whose hate for Hillary is all consuming — we won.

That is the reward. She is gone.

Those who fetishize her will always have Matt Drudge’s website, I am content to turn the page, close the book, and toss it in the fireplace

You’re forgetting the families of the 140 or so murder victims that she and Bill are 100% responsible for.

A nation of laws and equality requires justice.

Greg Jarret bases his entire premise on believing that PEOTUS Trump had backtracked on his promises "to appoint a special prosecutor" which he stated many times at several campaign stops.

I never fell for those kind words PEOTUS expressed post election about the Clintons' to the NYT.

Candidate Trump relished reading the Tale of the Snake" to his massive crowds during several rallies. PEOTUS is nobody's fool.

Why would PEOTUS Trump give Obama a head's up to pardon her and Bill?

If I see a single indictment for murder against these two I’ll eat my hat — much less 140.

Ain’t going to happen.

Not saying it’s fair, but that’s how it is.

The only credible news you will hear about the Clinton Gang going forward will be on Page 6.

Hillary has poked the bear and is going to get mauled along with Soros too. Donald Trump is only the tip of the iceberg with a huge bulk of individuals who have it out for her and Soros big time. The days of roll over are done as there are a different group of power brokers calling the shots who are patriots and ruthless as well.
