I’m tempted to buy one for a first-year teacher who may soon become a member of the family, if the classroom doors at her school have closer arms. If not, the “Rampart” would be the next best thing to have on hand.

I’m reminded of the somewhat obscure 1985 movie BRAZIL, by Terry Gilliam (from Monty Python).
An average, dull guy, just trying to live his boring life and pursue a woman he has dreamed about, gets caught up in a decadent, corrupt society and the massive police state. when the frequent terrorist bombs go off, nobody notices because they simply have been told to ignore it.
Its a comedy, actually.

I work in a large hospital - this is our “new” training as well.

Here in Charleston we have a yearly 6.2 mile bridge run that has thousands of entrants ( limited to 44,000 ). Since 1992 the winners have only been from Kenya or Ethiopia. So can they tell us about the running part again?
