Morning Joe: Trump ‘Furious’ at Kellyanne Conway Going ‘Rogue’ With Romney Criticism
Legal Insurrection ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 11/28/2016 6:02:03 AM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

When I suggested yesterday that Kellyanne Conway was being “less than loyal” to Donald Trump by sharply criticizing Mitt Romney on the Sunday shows, some readers took issue, surmising that Trump himself had encouraged Conway’s attacks.

But today’s Morning Joe reported as Breaking News that two sources at the top of the transition say that Trump is “furious” at Conway for her comments, notably her suggestion that Trump had “betrayed” his supporters by considering Romney for Secretary of State. The sources described Conway as having gone “rogue.” Scarborough read a response from Conway in which she called the comments “sexist” and claimed she could have “any job she wants” in the Trump administration. Um no. The liberal media gets excerpted and commented on here in FR.

PMSNBC gets more exposure on FR than they have actual viewers.

You’d have to be pretty damn dumb to watch these two dumb*sses in the morning.

Does anyone really believe that Kellyanne has not coordinated this with others? Isn’t it just as possible that this is a pressure campaign on Romney?

..political theatre. Team Trump has the MSM bouncing around like superballs in a concrete room. No way does the architect of DJT’s victory pour gasoline on it and light it with a match—NO WAY...

Thank you. I just posted similarly but didn’t realize the thread was already so long.

Like I posted today and several times in the past, PMSNBC should be grateful to FR for the exposure because their ratings indicate they should close up shop.

First, they get Mitt to board a plane to grovel in front of Trump for a position he's never going to have, and now they're using him as a public punching bag. Mitt probably shouldn't have said what he said about Trump in an effort to elect the most horrifically corrupt politician in the last century. The team of rivals theory is nonsense.

At least it better be.

“Joe Scarborough is about as trustworthy as a rubber crutch.”

That’s a mental picture...made me laugh.

Would be even better if they’d turn the a/c down low.

Real low.

Yeah, sources told MS-DNC exactly what Trump wants to tell them. He’s playing 7-dimensional Go and they’re still spraying strained carrots around from their high chairs.

Trump is so furious he's rolling on the floor with laughter. Trump and Kellyanne are trolling the media and Mitt.

My speculation: somebody in the GOP had been pushing Trump to take Mitt as SoS. The idea was floated as a rumor, public opinion among Trump supporters duly noted, and the idea was quashed.

Does anybody here think that Kellyanne would really go rogue at this point, or that Trump would not be watching the Sunday shows, notice what she was saying, and let her know within 20 seconds to cut it out?

An inadvertent sentence, maybe. Running through multiple Sunday talk shows before getting the word, no.

Agreed. That being said I am almost equally negative about a disgraced Petraeus being considered in Romney’s stead. What’s wrong with Giuliani for cryin’ out loud? Let’s just get it done.

Romney might have been under consideration for SOS or something else. But that would have required something from him...such as clearing up his slanderous comments about Trump.

The goal was reconciliation between Mitt and Trump that would bring party unity.

Mitt refused.

Therefore, Trump has no choice but to discard him.

The best way to do that is to have Kellyanne give the appearance of going rogue as a means of declaring the extended hand of friendship to Mitt as withdrawn.

Trump appears to be above the fray and that reflects well of the dignity of the office.

Probably not a word of it is true. Consider the source. She may have even had Trump’s O.K. to say what she said, just to let Trump’s Romney-shy folks know that they’d been heard and understood. I don’t want Romney, either. Don’t trust him!

Kellyanne is too much of a professional to go rogue.

This was a well-planned message from the Trump team.

Gotta be with Conway on this one — keep Romney out of the administration. He showed who he was in the ‘later days’ {:) of the primary season and through the convention.

What is his foreign policy experience anyway? The 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City?

Romney does not deserve to serve as a dishwasher in the White House. There is a very qualified man available in John Bolton for the Secretary of State position. If there are rewards to be given to loyal support, Giuliani or Huckabee should receive the selection as Secretary of State.

Trump is playing RINOmoney, he wants him to apologize then he’s going to tell him to go F himself. He has no intention of putting that Democrap operative in any kind of office. Look how he played the media, inviting them to a meeting making them think it was a meeting over press access and then he let them have it, calling them liars and frauds to their face. REVENGE! ha ha ha!
