When I suggested yesterday that Kellyanne Conway was being “less than loyal” to Donald Trump by sharply criticizing Mitt Romney on the Sunday shows, some readers took issue, surmising that Trump himself had encouraged Conway’s attacks.
But today’s Morning Joe reported as Breaking News that two sources at the top of the transition say that Trump is “furious” at Conway for her comments, notably her suggestion that Trump had “betrayed” his supporters by considering Romney for Secretary of State. The sources described Conway as having gone “rogue.” Scarborough read a response from Conway in which she called the comments “sexist” and claimed she could have “any job she wants” in the Trump administration. Exactly. For over a year I’ve been saying on Facebook that the media no longer controls the narrative and all my friends largely ignored me. Once Trump won they all admitted I was right.
When Trump is furious then he tweets. No tweet. No furious. Conway is fine.
It really is her specialty—the market research for and delivery of message. It is the press secretary, who reports to this position, as I understand it who has the 24/7 obligation to respond to natioanl media tequests. Maybe a strategy job, reporting directly to Trump or Bannon, that has the communications director reporting to her would be good.
I think Stone said Trump is meeting with Romney on Tuesday and announcing his sec for state and interior this week? If so, we can hope it is to say thanks but no thanks to Romney. Also I am hoping that Palin gets interior.
I agree with Kellyanne, as per usual.
Romney has an immense talent for turning traitor, as he’s proven time and time again! But what do you expect from a bankster?
I hope that Donald Trump and Kellyanne Conway will make up ASAP. They need each other!!!!

Not to mention: why would Trump be furious over criticism of Mitt? Is he some great friend of Trump’s that Trump would feel the need to defend him?
No, Mitt dug his own grave and then jumped in. Trump is savvy enough to understand that any criticism of Mitt is well deserved. Additionally, I have yet to see proof of any blow-back that Trumps’ inner circle has received from (inadvertent?) policy differences (remember some of the statements that Pence made during the VP debate that seemed to conflict with DT’s stated position).
IOW - I see Trump letting his folks do the job they were given to do without micro-managing.
This is coming from the same Morning Joe that said Hillary would win by a landslide.
I would not put a lot of stock into what they say. Seems like they are trying to divide Trump supporters.

Rush just said Kellyanne may be out of the loop too since she turned down a position in the new administration and may no longer be part of or advising on the transition team.
Katie Couric is who I had in mind with my post. She practically starts every question with “Some say” or “There are those who say”....And not one republican has ever been smart enough to ask “Who is they? I want a name.”

Romney might be very good at dealing with the VA. It is going to be a monster to fix.
So , if you want to reach across to everyone to unite and to some extent trump wants to do that.....VA is the place to do it.

That was Rush’s take on her comments. The latest is that she asked Trump if she could post her opinions or give comments when asked. The report is he told her to go ahead.
