Good!! They must think it’s a worthy jet.

Did I read newer generation? Didn’t it just start being used?

I forget who makes them but i hope Israel gets a discount because they are always fighting our enemies too.

‘Lockmart’ is the manufacture. And no all the bugs have not been worked out and is likely to be a total disaster for the US AF as well as the IAF. However, Israel has no real alternative counter to the Russian offerings stationed in Syria. There are some European fighter/bombers which could work, but are likely no match for the S-400 systems or the more advanced BCR Russian missiles and likely various SU variants.

So its a crap shoot for Israel. Maybe they can make them work, maybe not. Either way the F-35 will get a real world workout against a real adversary on a near daily basis.

The US traditionally relies on the Israelis (”Combat Proven”) experiences to help work out technical glitches with the new F-35. The Israelis push these systems to the limit and then use them in combat unfortunately. The US reaps the benefit of the Israelis’ experiences. After the horrible Iran Agreement, Obama sold the Israelis this plane because, again, due to Obama, the Israelis will indeed have to use all these systems just to survive the next 4 years...
