‘Lockmart’ is the manufacture. And no all the bugs have not been worked out and is likely to be a total disaster for the US AF as well as the IAF. However, Israel has no real alternative counter to the Russian offerings stationed in Syria. There are some European fighter/bombers which could work, but are likely no match for the S-400 systems or the more advanced BCR Russian missiles and likely various SU variants.
So its a crap shoot for Israel. Maybe they can make them work, maybe not. Either way the F-35 will get a real world workout against a real adversary on a near daily basis.
Oh boy.
“hoot for Israel. Maybe they can make them work, maybe not. Either way the F-35 will get a real world workout against a real adversary on a near daily basis.”
The Israelis will take the plane and immediately start modifying it to meet their unique strategy. Their electronics wherewithal is at least on a par with ours, maybe better. No worries, the Israelis will make it a good fighter.
