President-elect Donald Trump and President Barack Obama have been in regular communication, a top Trump aide said Sunday. Asked on NBC's "Meet the Press" about who Trump was consulting on Cuba policy, senior adviser Kellyanne Conway replied: "He's even been talking to President Obama. You know, beyond the sit-down they had 30 hours or so after President-Elect Trump won the election, they've been talking regularly on any number of issues. They talked just yesterday." Conway said they spoke for about 45 minutes Saturday, but declined to say what else they talked about. Trump enjoys talking with Obama, despite their disagreements, she said.

It didn’t go back to England, it was moved out of view into a hallway or something (I think in the White House). Trump has expressed the likelihood it goes back into the Oval Office.

Way! Let O keep talking. What better opportunity for DJT to see the inner workings of the minds of the enemies of freedom.

Would you ask a loser for advice?

Unfortunately Obama won twice. Then Trump won. Trump might even invite him to dinner at some point just to show him who's boss.

Trump would change Romney out before that happened. No doubt about that whatsoever. Romney would tow the line to Trump’s vision produce appropriate results - or be gone in an instant. That is the way Trump operates. That is Trump in control.

In that box Romney might be able to do a good job. I don’t know, but I trust Trump to know.

Exactly.
It is certainly a known fact that BO’B enjoys imbibing in smokes, booze, drugs and DJT does none of this. Who would be the first to let the ‘cat out of the bag’?

Obama didn’t win against the elite in the media, both parties, and the global elite. Obama won with their help.

Huge difference.

So yes Trump’s election wins are a great performance indicator.

“Would you ask a loser for advice?”

Logical fallacy: too few alternatives. For instance maybe Trump isn’t looking for “advice”.

You’re kidding yourself if you think Trump could police Romney’s doings at State before his flying monkeys got their damage in.

If I were Trump I would consider appointing one and only
one czar. That would be the Obama Quick Response Specialist.
You could argue that doing that elevates Obama to a
higher level than he merits but the MSM will be doing
that anyway. They will hang on his every jab and attack
on President Trump.

I was among the those who hated GW’s failure to ever
defend himself. Now I am a little concerned that
President Trump could pay too much attention to Obama.
I say he should leave most of that to others but
some response is usually called for. When Trump does
respond to Obama he should keep it short and pithy

Exactly. It was Trump against everyone else. The magnitude of his victory is immeasurable in human terms.

I think he could. I think you are kidding yourself if you think he couldn’t. Trump isn’t stupid and behind the ball on anything.

Just out of curiosity, what specific “damage” are you talking about?

You seem to be under the mistaken impression that people on this forum actually care what you think.

That is seriously the only thing you could come up with....and thought it was edgy and cutting?

Yep.

Also I hope Trump listens a lot. People who are guilty often spill the beans on themselves because they just can’t resist talking about themselves. Sort of like the perp who returns to the scene of the crime.

************

Whether he is asking for advice or not, why devote valuable time to talking with Obama about anything? What could there possibly be to gain? His counsel is worthless and any deals or agreements with him are worthless. Its best to stay away from toxic personalities. We need to move on and focus on erasing his destructive legacy.

I understand that Trump is trying to calm the waters and is talking with a lot of people, not just supporters. But I hope he distances himself from Obama — as far away as he can.

Trump, a political novice, has succeeded in getting elected. That’s a tremendous feat in itself. He has also changed the mood of the country and is restoring optimism that we can right the ship after eight disastrous years of Obama. Another accomplishment. So yes, he has done plenty already.

But getting things done in Washington DC is another ballgame altogether. Trust me, Trump is going to find it very frustrating having to deal with legions of people, convoluted legislative processes, and powerful political interests. There isn’t a president who doesn’t experience some resistance to their agenda.

Don’t get me wrong, I hope he succeeds. I supported him financially and am gratified that he won. But I also understand the realities of trying to get things done in DC and its not easy.
