Turning the electors into mighty platonic guardians doesnt seem to be the right way to go, UC Irvine Professor Rick Hasen wrote in a post. He maintains that this seems to go against rule of law since different rules were set up in advance.
Lessig believes that the college acts as a safety value to confirm or reject the peoples choice. Nonetheless, Hasen, who criticized Trump in October for inciting voter intimidation, argues this proposal creates other problems.
He says its not even certain that Clinton would have won a popular vote if candidates campaigned under that system. Also, he points out that electors are chosen to follow the will of their states people. If the public expected them to be independent, they would be vetted.
"But don't ignore it in an election where everyone agreed it was the set of rules to use.

Not to worry. Obama’s “top cop” is already making arrest for the death threats probably.

The elector intimidation in Michigan and I think other states is certainly illegal, but the feds aren’t doing much about that.
If the keepers of the law decide to ignore the laws, so can we the people....they are playing a very, very, very dangerous game that will hurt them.
so many “experts”....
How ‘EXACTLY’ are the electors choosen? and does it happen at the convention?
And their little BLM jackasses won't be of any help.
They want to eliminate the EC - jill is tweeting this too.
That the electors on December 19 will vote Hillary as President is a liberal wet dream
exactly! Hellary loses in EVERY SCENARIO..why is she doing this?
I won't riot, I promise. I will revolt.
“May Go Against Rule of Law”.......
Since the demodummies, and in particular odumbo and the Clinton’s came along, going against the rule of law is the norm for them. “We don’t need no stinking laws”.
“The process for selecting electors varies throughout the United States. Generally, the political parties nominate electors at their State party conventions or by a vote of the party’s central committee in each State. Electors are often selected to recognize their service and dedication to their political party.”

These are the most loyal and dedicated of party members and the reason why so few become “faithless”. Currently just 2 of the Rep electors have indicated they will not vote for trump as has 1 of the Clinton electors.
What would we do without experts?
And shouldn’t an ‘expert’ be more exacting in the who/what/where/when/why/how of election law outcomes rather than relying on weasel words of may, might, etc.?
It happens at state conventions in almost all states. Likely Maine and Nebraska chose at Congressional District conventions. The job goes mostly to long-time party regulars. They are not anonymous by any stretch, especially in small states.
BTW, I know a guy who was an Iowa GOP Elector in 2004. He was bombed with requests to switch his vote to Kerry, so harassing Electors isn’t new.
She is insane and doesn’t quit. I TRY not to hate anyone but I can honestly say I HATE that women’s guts, I simply can’t help it.
