Officials in the Obama administration threw cold water on the effort to recount votes in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania on Friday.
The effort was spearheaded by Green Party candidate Jill Stein, who echoed arguments that Russia may have hacked US voting machines to interfere with the outcome of the November 8 election.
A statement from the Obama administration cited by The New York Times acknowledged that the Kremlin likely expected the hacking of some Democratic Party entities in the run-up to Election Day to raise questions about the voting process and the legitimacy of President-elect Donald Trump's victory.
"Nevertheless, we stand behind our election results, which accurately reflect the will of the American people," the statement read.
Speculation that electronic voting machines could be hacked has largely been debunked, primarily because the machines are not connected to the internet.
Stein contended that this was a "hack-riddled election," that warrants a second look at the votes. Trump won by thin margins in the three states Stein aims to contest.
The Green Party sought to raise $7 million to fund the recount. Fundraising surpassed the $5 million mark on Friday. For her part, Stein only received one percent of the vote nationally.
Election officials in Wisconsin accepted a recount petition on Friday and announced that the effort was underway....

apparently they think it’s bad optics for some reason; yesterday there were several reports of insiders saying Hillary conceded when she did on election night because obama called her up and advised her to concede and also at that time advised her against seeking recounts because it would be bad optics for the Dems.
But, hey, who knows what the REAL reason is; after all, anyone with any sense doesn’t believes a thing obama says anyway.

Because his doing so tends to legitimize the effort as being “independent” and keeps it from appearing too partisan. This is all Soros’ doing...and Obama and Hillary are playing their parts.
Well, Obama’s puppetmeisters apparently thought that a challenge would be a bad idea.
And Hillary has personally said nothing public about this new escapade.
Jill Stein is either a political savior (drained enough votes from Hillary to let Trump win) or a political scoundrel for pecuniary gain. Pick one. Maybe both, maybe she can’t even make up her mind herself, she’s just there for the ride.

I have given that bit of info to several libs over the years. They just don’t get it and continue to say that Gore was robbed!
It might just be a puppet show, in which those who are rapidly losing their grip on American politics are wreaking whatever mischief they still can, like a demon shaking its victim just before it is forced to yield to the pressure of God and exit.
If anyone robbed Gore from a chance there, it was the Democrats themselves.

Soros isn’t counting on things in the spiritual sphere, however. All socialists like him know is that they hate “religion.” It is the “opiate of the masses” — the thing that makes life tolerable even in the face of the squeeze that the leftists may apply.

That may very well be....however, I want to see the source(s) filled in by name or organization on a required campaign disclosure fund form....not to go by un-sourced speculation on the internet or elsewhere.
I'm surprised that I'm the only one in all the many posts on this thread who wants to see an official revelation of Stein's donors.

There must be something to recount, or they would not have accepted the application and begun the recount process.
But the key phrase is appointed as in the 12th amendment:
"The person having the greatest number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed;"
So if a Court or a State does not certify a slate of electors already voted on or delay the same does that constitute not appointed? It looks clear to me that it does. So all Clinton and her surrogate Stein accomplish is to create turmoil until Jan. 6 when the Republican House puts an end to this nonsense.
And that can only happen if the three States in question, PA, WI and MI have not finalized their certification in 3 weeks.
So it does beg the question why, if other than keep the pot boiling and de-legitimize Trump's obvious election?

That is exactly how the youtube video shows it done. For some stupid reason, some of these reader machine include the actual software to do the counting ON THE MEMORY MODULE. If a pre-hacked memory module is substituted by a crooked poll worker, deliver person, or whoever has physical access, the results on the tape can say whatever they want regardless of what the paper ballots said.

They put through 6 NO ballot and 2 YES ballots, but the tape shows 7 YES and 1 NO. The total count is correct, but a predetermined percentage is applied to the total to get the breakdown they want.
The only way to guard against this would be to have a master copy of the correct memory module and a device to verify each machine’s module is a byte-for-byte match to the master. If it isn’t, the the box needs to have all its ballots reprocessed through an untampered counter.
CNN just announced that the Clinton campaign is joining the recount effort.
Zero knows a recount would expose the massive voter fraud in favor of Democrats.
