In a poll of over 100,000 Breitbart readers, former New York City Mayor Rudy Guiliani came out as their preferred choice for Donald Trump’s future Secretary of State.

Guiliani, who backed Donald Trump’s campaign to be president, won 36.64% of the vote share, and was followed in second place by former U.S Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton, who gained 26.23% of the vote.

Other candidates in the poll included former CIA Director David Petraeus who won 19.84% of the vote, whilst former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, who has been widely touted as the most likely pick for the role, received just 8.25%.

Either of the top two would be fine with me. I think Bolton has stronger subject matter knowledge but I think Rudy or John will want to clean out the snake dept cesspool. That’s Job One! Romney— no way, sorry but I just doubt he would even try to clean house.

A poll such as this empowers TRUMP to say We the People Have Spoken....

The Donald must have his reasons for considering Mutt, but yeah ... he would be like running into great-aunt Doris under the mistletoe and see that she sees you—and she’s slipping in her teeth.

Petraeus, I don’t understand at all. While he’s no Hillary Clinton by any means, why would we want another SOS who can’t keep secrets safe?

Bolton 34,000 plus my vote.
Giuliani 48,000. Too old.
I suggest a grad student from the Berkeley diplomatic school. Bulgaria is presently being run by capitalists in the twenties.

[NeverRomeny but Giuliani?]

RUDY is a pitbull, not a pink poodle. We need a SOS with gravitas.

OK, just never saw him in that role. Maybe he’d make it his.

Rudy is well known all over the world and has the right instincts. With a strong deputy, knowledgeable in foreign affairs, it could work.

Bolton is the only one that bothers me. He is hell bent on starting new wars in the middle east. As Secretary of State he can make it happen

I think so too. State needs to be cleaned out and Rudy and Bolton could do that. No way Mitt does that.

Agreed. Governor Romney does not appear to have either the grit and skill...to do the necessary clean out of the SnakeDept, nor does he appear to have subject matter expertise either. And, he sure proved he can’t be trusted...by...after Mr. Trump won the nomination, trying to undercut and defeat him....thus working for HilLIARy’s election instead. After THAT deplorable, imho, spectacle, I can’t imagine why Mr. Trump would want Gov. Romney anywhere near him, quite frankly.

Romney might be taking over POTUS to be DJT’s businesses. Romney is a keen businessman himself.

Just a guess.

Almost any liberal decision Trump makes, Mr. and Mrs. Kushner are the prime suspects for who is advising him to do it.

[Ivanka] and her husband, Jared Kushner, had bundled $41,000 for Booker’s Senate campaign as of May.
