Recount would have to move quickly (WI)
Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel ^ | 11/25/16 | Patrick Marley and Bill Glauber

Wisconsin could be at risk of missing a Dec. 13 deadline to certify its 10 electoral votes if clerks can't complete an expected recount by then.

Hitting the deadline could be particularly tricky if Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein is able to force the recount to be conducted by hand, Wisconsin's top election official said.

Stein — who received just 1% of the vote in Wisconsin — has promised to file for a recount by Friday's 5 p.m. deadline in Wisconsin. She is also planning to ask for recounts in Michigan and Pennsylvania, which have deadlines next week.

A federal "safe harbor" law requires states to complete presidential recounts within 35 days of the election to ensure their electoral votes are counted. This year, that's Dec. 13.

Stein is making her move for a recount as liberals raised fears about hacked voting machines. Election officials say they are unaware of any problem with Wisconsin's vote tally.

Republican Donald Trump edged out Democrat Hillary Clinton in Wisconsin, becoming the first GOP presidential candidate to win Wisconsin since 1984. Clinton lost by some 27,000 votes out of nearly 3 million cast.

Wisconsin law allows any candidate to seek a recount. The candidate has to pay if he or she lost by more than 0.25%.

Stein's campaign says it has raised more than $5 million this week for its recount efforts and estimates the Wisconsin recount will cost $1.1 million.

Meanwhile, independent candidate Roque "Rocky" De La Fuente said he formally asked for a recount on Friday. State election officials said they had not yet received the request from De La Fuente, who got 1,500 votes in the Nov. 8 election.

What you are missing is that there is a mechanism being exercised that could allow the courts to intervene and give us the 2000 election all over again.

Won’t work. The states have a deadline to certify the results, recount or not.

I think to challenge you should have to garner a certain percentage of he vote. I mean someone who gets 1500 votes
wants a recount he could never win either could Stein with her 50K votes out of 4 million? I think also the time to challenge should be shortened so it does not interfere with the electoral college vote.

No, I meant 72.

I'm sure you recognize that he was joking that they have an even lower IQ.

So what? even if he lost Wisconsin he would still win.. what am I missing here?

Faithless electors. Trump needs 270. He has 306. Someone would have to convince 37 of Trump's electors to switch to Hillary in order to hand her the election. That's very unlikely.

With a smaller margin, it's more do-able.

The contributions are regular machine ‘donations’ - source is unknown - likely from Soros et al.

And make those states unable to report to the EC thus a step closer to overturning the election.

They’ll just find more dead people and illegals voted for Hillary then originally thought. This is just stalling tactic to try to delegitimize the electoral process.

Stein isn’t concerned about vote fraud, she’s a closet HRC supporter. This is about trying to keep Trump out of the White House. Anyone with an IQ above 72 can see that.

Stein is, of course, covering for Hillary. And the effort is more than likely funded by Soros. And it is aimed at Trump, to be sure.

But to what end, exactly?

It's inconceivable that a recount will turn up (or disqualify) enough votes to reverse the result in all three states. And, even if it did, we would then be engaged in a constitutional crisis of unprecedented magnitude with an uncertain outcome. It would not necessarily redound to Hillary's favor.

So, what is the game...really?

Could it be that the'Rats intentions are more modest...and insidious? Are they instead intent on simply delegitimatizing the Trump administration and sowing doubt about our constitutional system? Instead of an attempted coup d'etat, is this designed to weaken the national fabric in advance of a future coup d'etat?

"The plan is to “find” enough votes to overturn Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin."

Of course, for that to work, they would also have to kill the 25 million unredeemables that were referenced in Alinsky's writings. Those 25 million might have other ideas. The country would descend into chaos and violent revolution.

Recounts will also be asked in Michigan and Pennsylvania.

The three together have enough EV to reverse the election.

Only Clinton can file for a recount. Stein didn’t even come close.

The IQTest in common use, the WAIS-R has a floor of 60. Results are not reliable below that.

The Clinton team knows what's going on. Whether or not they are in on it is not clear. From this site: http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2016/11/activists-urge-hillary-clinton-to-challenge-election-results.html

"A group of prominent computer scientists and election lawyers is reportedly urging Hillary Clinton to seek vote recounts in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan, arguing they have evidence that the results in those states were hacked or manipulated.

New York Magazine reports that the group includes voting-rights attorney John Bonifaz and J. Alex Halderman, the director of the University of Michigan Center for Computer Security and Society.

The magazine, quoting an unidentified source, said the experts held a conference call with Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta and campaign general counsel Marc Elias to make their case last Thursday.

Members of the group did not go public until Friday, when Halderman posted a blog item criticizing aspects of the New York article and making a case for checking ballots to ensure hacking did not occur.

As to whether a cyberattack changed the results of this year's election, Halderman says, "probably not."

“They know they cannot win”. Disagree. They may think they can “find” enough votes failing that They want a hand count to delay long enough to deny Trump Electoral College votes. They will do the same in PA & MI. I believe there is a real threat here. I am very worried at this point. Notice they waited until Trump couldn’t retaliate in close states HC won.

Doesn’t mean it will be granted, but it can be requested.

Yes, Stein can request a recount and a recount be denied.
