‘Deep unpopularity’ is like saying people avoid canned spinach at a tailgate party.
Trump might have been unpopular among some, but Hillary was an abhorrent individual, as even many among her most vocal supporters admitted. She was clearly running simply to enrich herself and the icepick voice, repellent visage, robotic gestures and a campaign of Absolutely Nothing that lasted over a year and half are items that add up to a hell of a lot worse than ‘deep unpopularity.’
The fundamental premise is wrong - that most people would be outraged if they kept repeating what Trump had said, and that Republican voters were listening to so-called Repubicans (e.g. sell-out RINOs) to tell them what to think. They got that all wrong. The sewer-stream media seems to ascribe to those who don't fall for their party line as "low-information voters." If they had more information, if they just listened to "us" they would straighten out and fly right.
These “news” people need to stop insulting boat anchors.
“the crook or the ego”
The Hillary bulge in the popular vote, thanks primarily to NY and CA, ironically should prove to be a boon to future Republican/conservative candidates. It will convince the Dems/Progs/Libs that their political philosophy was not rejected and that all they need do is better communicate it to Middle America. So expect more of the same from them.
She did appear at some function last week. Typical HRC, no make-up and her hair definitely needed washing and styling.
This woman's lack of hygiene should really have prevented her from getting even as close as she did to the Oval Office. Not to mention her alcohol problem, which no one seems to ever want to point out.
Dumber than a boat anchor.
She’s the anchor but the boat has a huge hole in it.
And these vipers: Graham & Co. who describe themselves as Republicans and even conservatives, who always buy-in to the MSM garbage, are going to continue to be anchors for Trump.

The most beautiful part of it all is that once it was clear that they had been overrating Hillary the whole time, every liberal who had listened to them shat a brick—and became as thoroughly disillusioned by the media as we have been.
Well. an old battle axe is ugly, but it’s big and it’s heavy, and it’s sharp and it can be dangerous. I like boat anchor better for Hillary. She was just too old and crooked and corrupt to win. They were idiots for assuming she’d still be “2008 fresh” in 2016. As osamabama once said, you can wrap an old fish in newspaper, it’s still gonna stink.
That feeling when . . . you get record ratings for your first debate but only because people are hoping to see you keel over.
If they put Keith “Kill The Jew” Ellison or Howard “The Scream” Dean in as DNC chair you’ll know they’re doubling down. Although I have to say the Scream did produce results when he was DNC chair before.
Scott Adams did a column about that, don’t know if you read it. He said usually both candidates “drink socially” so it’s a wash, but this time it was a drinker against a non drinker, so it is relevant to draw a comparison.
His point was that the President can’t really ever afford to be drunk and the candidate who doesn’t drink (or even sleep for God’s sake) has a fairly large effectiveness jump on the one who does.
The Donald doesn’t sleep. He waits.
Well be fair, Churchill drank like a fish.
YEah, but where’s the comparison? Roosevelt was sucking down Manhattans and Stalin... God knows what HE was on. OTOH, in this scenario the only one that didn’t drink was Hitler. Ooops!
Yeah, but by the end of the war, Hitler was heavily medicated.
YEah, he’s the one the question fits better, what was he on.
