Starbucks Will Have Nativity Cups This Christmas
Catholic Vote ^ | 11/25/16 | John White

Who saw this coming?

(By the way, if years had official questions, the official question of 2016 would be “Who saw this coming?”).

Anyway, the latest bit of 2016 shock and awe to come out of nowhere is that Starbucks will have cups featuring the Nativity this Christmas season.  Yes, that Nativity – with Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus.

Check it out here.

So, just another 2016 crazy almost miracle-type thing to wonder at.

Oh tidings.

But it’s the 30% that are their customer base. I wouldn’t buy that crap if you paid me.

NO nativity cups here, either. They show one in their video but it's not in the list. 12 red plus 1 on clear cups = 13? Also, all of the 11 winners shown are women. Where's the diversity, Howard, you sexist?? Surely there's some dumpy little guy artist out there who can beat some of these cups.

A good move, but its highly unlikely I will ever spend a nickel there. I’m simple, anyway. A nice strong cup of Community, black, no sugar. My cowboy coffee, lol. Starbucks barista would probably trip out if someone ordered black unsweetened coffee haha! Not the type of thing a hipster would generally drink. They need their fag pumpkin coffee

My husband gets black unsweetened coffee at Starbucks all the time. (By all the time, I mean on the one visit every few weeks.) They are not shocked by it. I get latte, my son usually gets some oversweetened fru-fru drink.

Apparently, the article needs to be updated.

There are 13 new designs for “red cups” but the Nativity design did not make the final cut.

Arabica is a type of coffee. Lots of coffee companies use it.

It accounts for 59% of the world's coffee.

Not too many Arabian countries on the chart. None? Indonesia is muzzlem, but not Arabic.

Starbucks could give away their swill for free in a nativity cup and I would still not go there.

Yep - we have two local coffee shops owned and run by Christian folks and with products every bit as good as or better than Starbucks and I even by my fresh ground coffee for home there.

A Starbucks opened up in the area and was in business for over a month before I became aware of it - pass it by on the way to my coffee shop....

At least they will upset some of their number one customers who are mostly liberals. By the way, I have never been inside a Starbucks and have no intentions of going into one.

It doesn’t matter where it is grown. Starbucks should ban it based on the name alone.

Community is the best. I love the Colombian s and the medium roast. The French roast for Vietnamese coffee.

I have to confess there have been a few times I was on the road and wanted a decent tasting espresso and went into a Starbucks for it but I've spent less than $100 over a few decades (these days I ask a local if they have a non-Starbucks place to get a decent coffee and there are LOTs of them around) - I spend close to that at my local coffee shop monthly....

You got great taste. It’s great coffee. French market is also quite good, but harder to find and more expensive. Coffee with chickory is very, very good. I just hardly ever see French Market

Give them some credit. This is real hard for them. After all, they are loved by wackos who like to think they are progressive. Buy their coffee. Say “nice cup”. I will.

I just moved to Pa. so I understand about the scarcity of good NOLA coffee. Do you have any Vietnamese population nearby? The French Market and chicory coffees are usually sold at Viet markets. Yeah, to order it online and have it shipped costs so much.
