From a comment to a CNN Blog from 2010:

Southern

I remember a game, in 65 I think.....At the old Cotton Bowl....and Don was HOT! All of a sudden Bubbles Cash either came out on the field (Or just paraded in the stands..I forget) and Don called a time out to watch her........Landry had a cow! Lol! Geeze he was so good......and could have even been better if we had had an offensive line....... RIP Dandy Don...we can still see you in the ring of honor......

From the wiki article on "Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders":
During a game between the Cowboys and the Atlanta Falcons at the Cotton Bowl during the 1967 season, the scantily clad, well-endowed Bubbles Cash, a stripper by profession, caused a tremendous stir in the crowd that turned to cheers when she walked down the staircase stands on the 50-yard line carrying cotton candy in each hand.
She became an instant public sensation in Dallas, also gaining attention from Cowboys General Manager Tex Schramm. Understanding the importance of the entertainment industry to the Cowboys' profitability, Schramm was inspired to form a cheerleading squad dressed in similar fashion to Cash.
