Dak Prescott is right on time — for Dallas and for America (Semi-barf)

The new face of America’s Team is a biracial, tatted-up, whip-smart, unflappable 23-year-old, who in about the time it takes to open the roof at AT&T Stadium went from being a let’s-see-what-the-unheralded-rook-can-do emergency starter to The Man on the NFL’s hottest club. Prescott’s stunning rise (remember, dude was a fourth-round pick whom the Cowboys backed into) has been the talk of the league – and the conversation hasn’t been confined to his success on the field. To even the non-woke, it’s obvious that the Cowboys are in a new place. That means the rest of the NFL is, too.

Yawn....The Mississippi State University beat Brett Favre the last two times he played them.

Sure, Brett Favre did some good things for the Packers, but did he ever go into Death Valley and beat LSU? did he ever sweep the Redskins?

Dak prescott is the Face of the League, and the NFL's only hope of falling just below the WNBA in fandom due to its Commissioner and front office being a bunch of Left-wing, anti-American, flagburning, pro-cop-killing Marxists.

Instead of sulking and pouting, Romo has been helping him at practice, and giving him pointers in games.

I have been pointing this out to a bunch of my coworkers. Romo has been top notch through all this and is probably the BEST back up quarterback any football team has ever had.

And he could end up getting a ring out of this also, if he doesn't act like every Green Bay quarterback ever.

My dad was stationed at New River, North Carolina after coming back from Vietnam, when I became a Cowboy fan (my brother played for a team called the "Cowboys" in Little League) That was 1969.

I do remember that. I also remember that they moved to Irving mid-season 1971, and that the Cowboys were undefeated at Cowboys Stadium until 1973.

I remember the QB controversy between Morton and Staubach in 1971, when Landry finally gave the QB job to Staubach.

I remember the only time I ever cried after a sporting event (even ones I played in) was when the Cowboys lost to Minnesota in the 1973 NFC championship. Mom sent me to my room because she couldn't stand me crying and screaming.

I remember staying at the New Orleans Marriott in 1976 when the Cowboys played the Saints, and the Cowboys were in the same hotel. I got autographs from players coming in before Curfew (Too Tall Jones, Mel Renfro, Hollywood Henderson, Bob Breunig, Burton Lawless, Drew Pearson, etc.)

Gotta live for today in these things, and if he is good enough for today with a chance to be good enough tomorrow, that is all anyone asks for!

Do that over and over, year after year, and that is greatness!

As a lifelong Boys fan, it’s easy to see why Dak has the job and not Romo, whom I love, ut who will go down like Dan Fouts and Fran Tarkenton as a great QB who couldn’t win a Super Bowl. Tony really couldn’t get close and Dak shows why.

Tom Brady has won twice as many playoff game as Dak has won regular season games.
Brady will pass Brett Favre this week with 200 regular season wins.
Next week Tom will pass Peyton Manning for the most all time wins in the regular season. Brady will be the all time leader in super bowl wins playoff wins and regular season wins. The greatest quarter back of all time is still playing...he is in New England.

Skins should have beat them last night with a good 2nd tier team. Vikings have a good chance next week. Expect different results when they play a 1st rate team like Seattle in the playoffs. even a hot wild card team may blow your bubble.

Any NFL-caliber QB looks great when they have a stellar offensive line and the running-game to go with it. Prescott has all day to wait for receivers to come open.

I’ll hold off putting Prescott in the HOF for awhile yet.

You had the same offensive line, receivers, and a 1000 yard running back in Darren McFadden, yet they went 4-12.

Scott Linehan's offense was designed for Tony Romo to run, and it's very hard for even skilled QB's to pick it up. Matt Cassell, Brandon Weedon, and Kellen Moore couldn't run it. Rookie Dak Prescott went in and now has total mastery of it.

I think the NFL Hall of Fame should make an exception, and induct Dak Prescott as an active player.

Retire, Tony. Why put your 30 something body through any more potentially dangerous injuries.

For the same reason Reggiw White wanted to go to Green Bay, where he could win the whole thing. I despise the Cowboys franchise. I respect Tony Romo. He still has a competitive spirit, and there are plenty of teams that are a QB away from the next level. Denver could be an exceptional fit. They have been known to pull that before.
