Green Party Candidate Jill Stein to File for Vote Recount in 3 Battleground States

The campaign for Green Party candidate Jill Stein surpassed its goal late Thursday night to raise $4.5 million in an attempt to have recounts in three battleground states -- Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania -- to address concerns about the election before it is certified.

But once the $4.5 million goal was reached, the campaign upped the goal to $7 million.

Stein and her running mate, Ajamu Baraka, initially said they hoped to raise over $2.5 million -- the money needed to fund recounts in the three states -- by Friday, the deadline to file in Wisconsin. By Thursday morning, that goal was met, with more than $2.6 million raised.

And as of 11:30 p.m. ET Thursday, $4,518,050.49 had been raised, according to the campaign website.

Stein told CNN on Thursday she "absolutely" intends to file for a recount in Wisconsin.

"What I think all Americans can agree on, and what I consider worthy of working for right now, is creating a voting system that we can trust. There are glaring red flags right now about this voting system," said Stein, who points to unsubstantiated claims that electronic voting machines might have been hacked or manipulated.

"What we are saying is not that hacking or fraud has necessarily taken place. I don't think we have evidence of that. But I think it's only natural and it's good for Americans to be reassured that our votes are counted, especially after such a divisive and bitter election," Stein said on Thursday.

Does the word standing have any place in this discussion? She being the petition filer appears to be but to what desired outcome for her candidacy? Absolutely none and every Judge should rule accordingly.

Exactly - she's fraudulently milking the uninformed to part with their welfare money to pad her coffers.....Priceless!

"The Democrats consider voter fraud to be a legitimate electoral tactic. But it only works if it’s done in the dark."

Paging Atty General Sessions, will you please pick up on line one, it is the POTUS wanting to discuss you efforts for uniform nationwide voting rules, uniform machines, cleaning up the voting roles, and voter ID.....

They should recount Minnesota, New Hampshire, Nevada and Illibois (just to look into Chicago) and California (just to look into LA County).

Yes, both MI and WI State Elections officials can deny her recount request and I believe they should. Like you said she has no standing to make this request. She only got 1% of the vote and she will not gain anything with a recount. They should tell her they will only honor her request if she gets a court order.

In PA it is next to impossible to request a statewide recount if the difference in the race is over 1/2 of 1 percent (auto recount threshold). You can’t just file for recount there - you have to collect evidence at the county elections office level and then get a PA state judge order a statewide recount based on the evidence of irregularities submitted.

This will go nowhere as she has no legal standing as she was non-competitive in these states. This is frivolous and nothing more.

You’re very welcome.

This will go nowhere. Soros and the other Globalists and USA-haters went too far. People, both here and in Europe, are sick and tired of losing their jobs while being decimated and bankrupted by floods of illegals.

Any actual attempt, at this point, of flipping *three* states and declaring Hillary the winner will explode in the Leftists’ faces like a cigar the size of Long Island.

Soros has lived a long time; long enough to see his plots, plans and influence capsized by a groundswell of opposition that not even his billions can stem.

More than likely her requests will be thrown out. In PA you have to have reasonable evidence to prove vote fraud in each district to ask for a recount. She already stated she has no proof.

I’m betting tbis is a money making scam. A candidate can ask for anow unofficial recount as long as they pay for it. They did the same thing FL after the 2000 election.

All these states are run by corrupt Democrats.

What’s to keep them from padding the recount?

‘What is this, a “woman’s prerogative”?’

No. It’s a public explanation of why Jill Stein received a grand total of one-percent of the national vote.

Green Party Candidate (and spoiler) Jill Stein to File for Vote Recount in 3 Battleground States channels her inner Orly Taitz by grifting Democratic voters with fanciful promises of a magical election do-over. Becomes wealthy.

Fixed it.

Congress can reject Electoral votes, individually or a whole state’s.

There are plenty of DAs and Federal prosecutors that would love a to prosecute a high profile election stealing case.

We have been warning about the risk of voter fraud for years now and they were adamant that there wasn’t really a problem, so I don’t see how there can be a problem. The truth is, they have approximately 55 days, 15 hours, 4 minutes, and 52 seconds to stop Trump. If they get a recount, they have another opportunity to cheat and stop him. they can’t be given that opportunity. The votes have been counted. It’s over. We won. If the law calls for a recount, fine. But other than that, no way. It isn’t fair to us. They should have listened to us before the election.

All these states are run by corrupt Democrats.

As a matter of fact, that's not true.

Wisconsin has a Republican governor (Scott Walker) and a Republican legislature.

Michigan has a Republican governor (Rick Snyder) and a Republican legislature.

Pennsylvania has a Democrat governor, but Republicans control both houses of the legislature.

Is Stein hoping to move her 1% up to 1.2.%?

Or is she doing it at the behest of Clinton, on orders from Soros?

Stein did not win any state and no recount will help her. She is working for Soros/Hillary now.

"Or is she doing it at the behest of Clinton, on orders from Soros?"

Doesn't make much sense, either way. My best guess is that it's because she's bat**** crazy, and thousands of other bat**** crazies are sending her money.
