LEDs work well enough indoors, just about anybody likes bulbs that use less electricity.

Neither of my cars will run on 35% Ethanol.
I already use a lead additive & an octane booster.
Our Race-Trak stations have a fourth blue handled nozzle on them. Ethanol free, less than premium.
Neither of my vehicles can be filled from cans that are sold today. I have been very careful with my olde cans & the flexible spouts. The new ‘dogleg’ spouts dont reach into my gas necks. The ‘cover’ on it’s hinge gets in the way.

LEDs are such a boon to the consumer. I was present when the first outdoor lighting project was installed on a local facility’s parking lot.
It had a large cost to it initially, but saved them something like $60,000 a year in power bills. The price has come down of course, since then.
They are also great in automotive applications, although I get them on ebay for around a buck apiece, the parts stores still want a fortune for them.
And they come in many colors. I have some old-style pale red lenses with the new red LEDs inside. WOW, a bright ruby-red glow lights up the world behind the old truck.
I refuse to pay ‘only $2.20 or $1.80’ for LED bulbs when the real bulbs cost me 50 cents. I have nothing but old type bulbs in my house, along with 2 upright freezers & 2 ref/freezers & the side by side ref/freezer that came with the house. I use 100 watt bulbs in most places because of my near sightedness. I use 60 watt bulbs in my ceiling fan lights. I have no AC, just the fans.
One ref/freezer was purchased in Nov, 1965. One ref/freezer is a 1972 model & one upright freezer matches it-1972 model. The side by side ref/freezer is a 2004 model & one upright freezer is a 2008 model. They all run just fine. I use an electric dryer. My heat is propane, but needs the fans to circulate it thru the ducts. I pump water year around for my horses. I have motion sensor security lights, each with 2 bulbs, which the rabbits turn on year around, flourescent in the ceiling of the garage & 3 halogen lights also in the garage. 3 TV sets, of which 2 are almost always on as I go from room to room. Computer is on about 2 hours a day- if at all. The overhead can lights in the kitchen have not been changed since I moved in here. Stove is propane. Use my hair dryer about 5 days a year.
I just paid my electric bill & it was $59.43 for one month. I have lived here for almost 12 years & I had only one bill that was over $100-the first summer I was here. So- that would be about 140 months with a bill over $100.
I live east of Reno, and we have 4 seasons. Current temp is about 14 degrees. I have a supply of the old style bulbs & I hope they last as long as I do.
Yes, and every state has its own, they can handle it themselves.

Almost. Incandescent bulbs produce no RF interference, but many LED bulbs produce a nasty buzz (as do CFL bulbs). That matters to Luddites like myself who still listen to analog radio stations.
And LED bulbs don't "last forever". I have had quite a few die early deaths.
Same here. Use Bio-Clean into the toilets & sinks once a month & have no problems.
In many places, the RAT control freaks have banned the sale of incandescents (except rough service bulbs) however, I don’t miss them a bit.
As my toxic wasted CFLs burned out, I mailed them to RAT legislators.

That 60 watt bulb is using 60 watts of power every hour. My 60 watt equivalent LED bulb uses 9 watts per hour. Do the math and you'll break even in a short amount of time. Same with your ancient refrigerators and freezer. Newer ones are much more energy efficient. A 15 year old refrigerator uses about twice as much energy than a new one does. I can't imagine how inefficient something from the 60's or 70's is.
They really do work well indoors, and they have the same color temperature as the incandescents. Bought some recently and like them. HATED those squiggly fluorescent bulbs with the mercury in them, they take time to warm up and a lot of time when it’s a chilly day!
