Do you have proof that we are? Of the millions of planets, you mean we are the only one with life? (I’d say intelligent life, but you and Washington, DC and liberals are proof that some aren’t intelligent.)

Returning to the moon in the next four years would require a Herculean effort. It is not impossible but I don't know if NASA is up to the task any more. It has engaged in too much “climate research” and muslim outreach and has lost its purpose.

Yes, the NASA of our youth has been gone for a long time now; even the NASA which kept the space shuttle program going was gutted by the Obama Administration and left bleeding out by the side of the road. The name NASA was stolen to give the current batch of eco-loons credibility that they do not deserve. There is no real relationship. This is not to mention the money being wasted on “Muslim Outreach” PR Campaign which was meant to prop up a bunch of 8th century BS and make it appear that the Muslim culture has some relationship to present day technology. Another theft of the name NASA to give a nonrelated organization credibility... sickening.

Ursula leguin’s “The Left Hand of Darkness” was where I first saw an Ansible device... That was 65-67 if I remember correctly.

I am convinced that entangled particle matrices can be developed for instant state transfers of data in the near future.

I am also convinced that the breakthroughs we need will not come from science students. They only parrot their professors a priori assumptions about the nature of reality.
I believe exploration and conquest of the emerging g frontier is our God given manifest destiny.

Well God’s never wrong. But on occasion he’s misunderstood and misinterpreted by people with other agendas. Sometimes people just outright lie about what he says.

Yes! It is a shame we’ve ceded our position here and got sidetracked into BS PC research. Do something that counts! Put AMERICANS on the Moon, on Mars, and simply in space. Establish, claim, and use them for Americans. If we don’t China and others will.

Of course, they could just keep the earth and climate science program and have it concern actual earth and climate science, rather than ignoring satellite temperature records, because they show less warming.

My husband loved Orson Scott Card (and Battlestar Galactica) until he discovered how much of their theology (Mormon) is the basis of their work.

Him (about 24 years ago) “I love this show - where do they come up with such stuff?”

Me (just coming out of Mormonism) - “Its easy. Its based on Mormon theology”

Him -..........

Archeology for one (literally TONS of proof). However Editors interpretation of this matter is not inline with Scripture.

That could be a circular argument. However science and archeology prove the superiority of Judeo-Christian scripture.

I agree - a realistic one who gets things done and doesn’t just grandstand. I am loving him already and he hasn’t even been sworn in.

Happy Thanksgiving, Wind. America has a lot to be Thankful for this year.

Your religion or how you interpret it says there is life beyond earth. But the other guys says life outside earth does not exist anywhere in the universe because the bible told him so.

I find this glaring conflict quite odd.

“But he’s not a conserrrrrvative...” ...Man, I’m glad that crap was put to rest. ...In the end, I think that Donald is going to be the embodiment of a whole new type of conservative.

Well, most of his positions are light years ahead of what all the other so-called "conservative" candidates would even dare say...never mind enact.

Other than Ivanka's "daycare" how much is in there that would ruffle conservative feathers?

My Astronomy professor used to say...are the other habitable planets? Definitely

Is their life on them? Probably not

If there is, do they look like Mr Spock? No

ES is taking scripture out of context in the one verse he provided to someone else. He ignored my request for Bible verses. His view is not inline with the Bible or most Christians.

Of the countless stars out there with planets I’d say 3% have life...

And 3% of "billions and billions" is still:

Billions and billions.

“Well, most of his positions are light years ahead of what all the other so-called “conservative” candidates would even dare say...never mind enact.”

Exactly my point.

In my view, Trump’s agenda is closer to the American ideals we wish to ‘conserve’, than any politician I’ve seen in this life.

In the Chronicles of Narnia C.S. Lewis describes Asland’s Country as somewhere that you couldn’t get to no matter how far you traveled. He said and I think he was correct that the stars are actually part of our world and that if we could travel far enough then we could get to them. The planets and other suns are separated from us by great distances but the whole universe is “Our World”
