I’m wondering if the mom could file an “obstruction of justice” type suit against the school. If my daughters were still 12 and assaulted like this, I would want to press charges, but if the school won’t release the name then how does that happen with out prosecuting the school as well? Schools can’t possibly be allowed to shield kids from criminal prosecution.

The school is 62% Black and 8% White. 89% in free lunch program. Admission by application. The most “excellent” school ranking 3 of 10 stars and school language arts score of 14% and math 21% for 6th grade which is probably what grade the girl is in. What kind of a mother send’s their child into that environment? Oh, yeah, a mother without a father in the house and who puts a big target on their child by naming them Blessyed.
Is the girl white or mulatto? Were the bullies white or black? The story makes none of that clear. (I should add, if the story is unclear on those points, it is probable that the victim is white and the bullies are black.)
Long way down the article to find that the poor gal is white which leaves the reader to wonder what was the race of her harassers - black or hispanic or ... ?
