One of President-elect Donald Trump's potential cabinet picks showed photographers more than he intended over the weekend, revealing part of an aggressive plan to change the Department of Homeland Security's approach to combating illegal immigration.
When the two posed for pictures beforehand, however, Kobach was clutching his proposal and photographs captured the parts that his left hand didn't obscure.
They included uncompromising approaches to deportations, providing for the 'rapid build' of the wall that Candidate Trump promised for America's southern border 1,989 miles of it and part of a plan that appears targeted at making sure illegal immigrants can't vote in national elections.

“Accidentally reveals”? Yeah. Riiiiiight.
But it does give our in-house concern trolls something to be very, very, terribly oncerned about.
If they are here ILLEGALLY, they are CRIMINALS!! What is so hard to understand about that??
Lucky it was not me or the plan would have included interlocking fire by m-60s backed up by mortars across the border.
Totally on purpose. Trump continues to troll the media. The Master at work people. Watch and learn.
8 U.S. Code § 1325 - Improper entry by alien
(a) Improper time or place; avoidance of examination or inspection; misrepresentation and concealment of factsAny alien who (1) enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers, or (2) eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers, or (3) attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact, shall, for the first commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than 6 months, or both, and, for a subsequent commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18, or imprisoned not more than 2 years, or both.
I am of the opinion that this was intentional. What better way to reduce the population of ILLEGAL ALIENS than to give them a heads up you are REALLY going to deport them ? What is that sound ? Is it the pitter patter of little feet headed for the border ? Form a line and proceed to the nearest border please hombre,
So he and Trump arranged for him to expose the cover sheet before the meeting?
I don’t think so.
Correct. There is nothing sensitive about this material. It is not like Biden pointing out the man with the nuke codes at a rally.
It’s talking about the illegal aliens who committed additional crimes that Obama has allowed to roam our streets and terrorize.
I’m interested to learn what Trump will do to the deported criminals who return to the US a week after they are deported. They like jail so that’s not a deterrent.
Exactly!
They enter without proper respect for our laws because they are not enforced, then demand social services that are not provided in the nations from whence they emigrated.
But they are not immigrants. They are trespassers and intruders, in some cases invaders.
I don’t think Trump is going to get a chance to deport anyone.
Obama has thrown the borders open, and will issue a blanket pardon for all illegals, probably on Christmas Day...
I don’t understand all the hand wringing.
Trump was elected to do this, among other things.
Glad to see he’s keeping his promise.
Don’t think for a second that this information wasn’t intentionally put out there. This wasn’t a mistake. It was meant to be seen.
(Intentional)
That was my first thought. By making it seem like they (the media) discovered something, it gets more play then if the administration just announces it.
This clearly puts everyone on notice that Trump plans on keeping his promise about the “wall” and deportation.
I am sure some thought he did not really mean what he said.
Now they know.
The press is astounded that Trump wants to stop pretending that illegals who broke the law are not law breakers and they are shocked that he intends to enforce existing laws.
crime
noun: crime; plural noun: crimes
an action or omission that constitutes an offense that may be prosecuted by the state and is punishable by law.
crim·i·nal
noun: criminal; plural noun: criminals
a person who has committed a crime.
OMG! Noes! Not that!
If only I knew THAT, I would have voted for Hillary!
You mean, like what Canada and Mexico do.
Man, I got out of the way of the picture!!!
I can’t imagine how tough that guy is!!!!!
This morning, Fox and Friends reported thousands of green cards have gone missing
So people who are non-citizens, who have snuck into our country in defiance of our laws....these people should be allowed to vote?
That is in and of itself a criminal act.
And those illegals arrested for committing a crime are not criminals?
How do you argue that someone here illegally who committed a crime should not be deported.
