Donald Trump’s media summit was a ‘ f—ing firing squad’

President-elect Donald Trump exploded at media bigs in an off-the-record Trump Tower powow on Monday, sources told The Post.

“It was like a f—ing firing squad,” said one source.

“Trump started with Jeff Zucker and said I hate your network, everyone at CNN is a liar and you should be ashamed….

“The meeting was a total disaster. The TV execs and anchors went in there thinking they would be discussing the access they would get to the Trump administration, but instead they got a Trump-style dressing down,” the source added.

A second source confirmed the encounter.

“The meeting took place in a big board room and there were about 30 or 40 people, including the big news anchors from all the networks…,” the source said.

“Trump kept saying, ‘We’re in a room of liars, the deceitful dishonest media who got it all wrong. He addressed everyone in the room calling the media dishonest, deceitful liars. He called out Jeff Zucker by name and said everyone at CNN was a liar, and CNN was network of liars.

“Trump didn’t say Katy Tur by name, but talked about an NBC female correspondent who got it wrong, then he referred to a horrible network correspondent who cried when Hillary lost who hosted a debate – which was Martha Raddatz who was also in the room.

I said they “did” laugh at us . . . past tense. It all changed the moment Trump read the media the riot act.

These media rats have never been spoken to like that in their lives. Trump played it masterfully. Now they have a choice: Tell the truth for once in their lives or go on bashing Trump and making up false stories, smears about him and stoking the flames of the little Brownshirts in the streets which will only serve to show the American people how biased and shallow they are. This in turn will eventually lead to a further drop in their ratings and along with that a drop in advertising revenue. I LOVE THIS GUY!!

Forget that...take away their press credentials. They're going to make up news anyways so make them outsiders. Let the conservative press "be" the only place where news is disseminated.

This is an approach I suggested back in 1992 when the media propaganda machine stole the election from George HW Bush. Unfortunately our side doesn't seem to be able to either use good sense or unite in anything that might be effective.

I hope he doesn’t give them any special access whatsoever. Let them dig up the news the same as everyone else out there. Eventually, that will serve to flatten the media landscape as other more honest sources are allowed to grow and prosper in the vacuum.

A major part of Trump's appeal is that he wasn't going to be a Milquetoast wuss. A lot of us wanted a mean bastard because we are sick and tired of pansy ass "nice guys."
