She's right on one issue, but she's also a Bernie-bot. Being right about Syria doesn't make up for her being wrong on America.
I am fine with her being in the Defense department. We have a lot of strong people in most of those positions. But maybe she is a friend on the democrat side in congress.

I do NOT want to end our war with Islam. As I said, the war is endless. It has been ongoing for over 1,300 years. Only an ignorant fool would not recognize that fact.
Used to play golf with her brother a lot. Great family same up bringing as me except they leaned to the left even though I thought they were more conservative. I think as a politician in Hawaii you have to be a democrat to get elected.

People say this as if it is a completely bad thing. If the dictatorship isn't too outrageously oppressive, the resulting order is a good thing. The extremes of authoritarianism I'm thinking of are Singapore and Zimbabwe.
In the US, and in much of Europe, this wasn't necessary because there was enough common shared culture and belief, and the custom of at least honoring that shared part to mutual benefit. Unfortunately, due to Leftist influences, including Balkanization through immigration as well as political dialog, that common ground is shrinking. The center might not hold for long.
