During the course of the 2016 campaign, Republican Christine Todd Whitman compared Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler. She warned that a Trump administration would bring the country into "chaos." And a month before Election Day, the former Bush Cabinet official proclaimed her support for Hillary Clinton.
Now, when young Republicans ask her whether they should join the Trump administration, Whitman struggles to find a simple answer.
"I'd sound a note of caution," says the former Environmental Protection Agency head. "They're going to have to carry out what the president wants done."

I hope Trump remembers all those who were/are “NeverTumper’s” and deals with them accordingly.
He will make some of them his servants and useful tools - the irony is they will come to love it and him.....
Who cares?
Trump won without them.
And he will govern without them.
Buzz off Meg. You chose poorly... again.
group of former Republican foreign policy officials who were not signatories.
Both Democrat and Republican foreign policies have been bad. Why keep going back to the same people that evidently do not know what they are doing.
Our foreign policy should be simple:
Does it help or hurt the citizens of United States?
Don’t do things that will only benefit others at the expense of the US (and that includes “foreign aid”. It is insane to put American tax payers in debt to give money to other countries.
They are afraid that Trump, in the long run, is going to do for the R party what Obama did for the D’s.
It was a concern I had when I was a nevertrumpber, but not one I think about any more than any other person elected president. Because he is a political unknown, the risk is there. But it’s always there.
She wrote a book called, “It’s My Party Too” and then goes and supports Mrs. Clinton in the general. If it had once been your party, Mrs. Christine Todd-Whitman, it is no more.
“The Never Trumpers are still trying to sabotage Trump. “
Yes, and I worry about Romney. He’s still jealous of Trump’s successes, and that won’t change. If Trump gives him a high-level position, we’ll all be sorry.
Exactly.
After some talking head on TV would say, “Trump could damage America, or he doesn’t know what he’s talking about,” even wife who is apolitical would always mumble, “you mean he’d be worse than the experts who bankrupted the country, shipped our jobs overseas, and got us into unending wars?”
I’d lose respect for anyone who turned to CTW for career advice
Trump knows who they are... some are back stabbers... some people of principle.
Trump knows the difference.
Lincoln brought many of his competitors into his inner circle - - men willing to be in the arena. Men who were safer with you than working against you...
“the irony is they will come to love it and him.....”

Reminds me of what the wrestler Ric Flair used to to say:

This makes the Bushees sound as stupid as the “hold muh beer” guys. Who in the world with a lick of sense would have signed those nasty NeverTrump screeds? Wish we could have seen them on election night, watching the red tidal wave spread through the great center of the USA. They could see their futures disappearing under that wave.
The “Never - Who -ers?” Who give a shiite what they think? They are losers who lost. We won so they can change their registration to Democrat.
That must be why the DEFCON level immediately went from 3 "get ready to be vaporized" back to 5 "you will live to see another day" when it became clear Hillary had lost. Any of the “national security experts” who couldn't see this one coming should be run out of town on a rail because they are liberal idiots.
What a truly stupid woman. If she can support Hillary Clinton after 53 million babies have been slaughtered in the last 43 years then she is no better than the Nazi death camp freaks that murdered 6 million Jews.
Clinton wanted to continue the slaughter. Trump wants to reverse Roe v. Wade. He is the only candidate that stood for life in this election.
No other issue came remotely close and thanks be to Almighty God, Trump won.
These so-called “experts” are who has made such a mess of the world.
We are now out of the regime change business, which we should never have been in.
We will now work to eradicate Islamic terrorism instead of exacerbating it, and in some instances aiding it.
It’s a good thing if these fools never have any influence on policy again.
