Hampshire College in Massachusetts has announced that it will no longer fly the U.S. flag at all in response to an incident where the flag was taken down and burned. The president of the college says that by getting rid of the flag the school will be able to focus on other issues like halting Islamophobia and promoting gay rights.
The mess for Hampshire College started a week and a half ago, after Donald Trump’s victory in the U.S. presidential election. The school responded to Trump’s victory by keeping the U.S. flag at half-staff, as if in mourning, which upset some community members. Then, on the night before Veterans Day, somebody took the flag down and set it on fire.

I have an idea to kill two birds with one stone.
Since this school wishes to not be an American school for fear of reprisals, we should remove all federal funding and student loans for students wishing to attend this “school of higher learning”
We can cut the deficit and remove a school that wishes not to be a part of The United States.
Flood the dang place, and start to save the nation.
Amherst has been a Marxist and cowards college dreamworld for decades. The president of Hampshire College should be forced to resign on grounds of mental defect and cowardice.
I’d ask alumni to stop donating to the school but most of them are probably as batshit crazy and cowardly as he is.
No to flag—no to any federal funds! Send FBI to investigate—IRS to audit every one of the deans, professors, etc... The school should be closed.
This appears as though Hampshire College for leftists was looking for an excuse to get rid of the American Flag. There are ways to secure the flag pole from those who want to do mischief. The technology is there and the college should have campus police to arrest the mischief makers. Any student caught tampering with the flag would get expelled from the college. Non students would get a trespassing and malicious destruction of private property conviction.

No doubt that is the school's mission statement. What a crock. Here I though schools of higher education were meant to teach people to be productive citizens and give them a full education in a particular field. If I were a parent with a child in that school I would be pulling them out yesterday, because even that would not be soon enough.
Part of their hubris is they think they are progressing over and above Western Christian and Enlightenment thought. But their ideas stem from the psuedo-Marxist Frankfurt School from the 1920s.
They are nothing new. No progress. Just stale and unthinking, raw emotion, which is the point.

That these cretins placed the US flag at half mast to protest Trumps election tells us that we did exactly the right thing by voting for him.
PULL every single penny of Federal funds-—stop any student loans, & prevent them from continuing on this path.

And if your school is getting any federal money I volunteer to find ways of not continuing that funding. State or federal funding should not support anti-state or anti-federal activities as both sets of government are neutral politically, theoretically, so that the funds are dispensed in a neutral manner.
This college is a disgrace. People are woefully ignorant of Islam and the Qu’ran and haven’t got a clue about how “normal” gays are...I think the administration needs a big wakeup call.
