Leftist hypocritical US Media will now make huge hay of the notion that their marriage is somehow fundamentally different than most.

Different in what way? Oh,..like the Washington version of the “Walton’s”...starring Bill and Hillary Clinton. The left may have a point.

Homeschooling is a great option. Study and then have his friends come by to play. Surely some staff members have children his age.

I AGREE .. And, since the Oval Office will be torn apart for almost a year, it will be noisy and ripe with debris from the work. and, the President will have to be housed across the street from the WH, in the Executive Office Building .. giving the First Family little access to him.

I think her point is well taken. After the school year is out, there still may be a few months before the Oval Office will be finished. Trump has proven he can work out of Trump Tower .. so why move the family.

How thoughtful of Obama to wait until the election to have this work done - while the approval has been done for quite some time. Such a petty, little man.

There is another very good reason. If he went to Friends, he would have to associate with the Obama girls and their snobbish friends.

Keeping the lad away from those girls is reason enough

Good point. He’s too young to be “twerked” by Malia.

Yes we moved several times when I was a kid and I adapted and made new friends.

I have heard the rumors that Barron is s!ightly autistic. Who knows but they have special schools in DC.

Part of being President is living in the Whitehouse and personally that’s what I expect.

Sidwell Friends is but one of many such private schools in the DC area. It would not be my first choice for a private school for a son of Baron’s age.

All similar private schools there have easily secured, restricted campus designs.

“3am...”

Yep - as I watched him during the acceptance speech, at one point he appeared to almost fall asleep on his feet...

I agree about beautifying the white house once again. The glimpses I had seen, included an awful lot of junk art! The White House should be kept in the traditional style for those public rooms, including the oval office. Let the part time “tenants” only personalize their own living quarters.

I really don’t know all that much about the Trump family. They know, and they make their own decisions.

Why can’t public schools be like these private schools?

The current FLOTUS seems to have a revolving account at Value City Furniture.

I feel for the youngster, if he does have health problems. Part of the issue of women having children after their mid-30s is that the rate of birth defects doubles. A different time (one to which we *can* go back), my mother had all four siblings between 19 and 26, and that was best for her physically, best for mom & dad as parents, and best for us a children, as we benefitted from good health for us and healthy parents as we grew up.

I do. He’s going to be busy. The family lives in a tower. It’s defensible.

He looks painfully shy to me. I know the look because I was, and still am, that way in public places. School was especially painful for me. I was an excellent student but didn’t make many friends, wasn’t in any clubs, etc. I was always a loner.

Security nightmare?

You mean worse than the current potus' brats going to messyco and commandeering a whole hotel while SS had to get a dozen armored SUVs down there? That kind of nightmare? And all at our expense.
