Art Sisneros, one of 538 electors with the final say on who becomes the next U.S. president, says he's undecided on how to vote. The 40-year-old family man from Dayton is among the 38 people chosen to represent Texas in the Electoral College. That group will gather Dec. 19 in 50 state capitols around the country to vote on who wins the election. If all electors cast their votes in keeping with the winner of each state, then Donald Trump wins, even though Hillary Clinton received more popular votes overall.

Wonder if it is this guys company. I can see conflict of interest if it is. Freepers...... RESEARCH!!!
As I understand it, it’s not up to the GOP, but up to the legislature. After the Florida 2000 snafu, Texas voters passed a proposition to give the legislature control of the electors in case some went rogue.

A handful of electors being faithless won’t matter - Trump has 36 EV to spare.
If the result is overturned, however... I don’t see how to prevent a shooting war at that point.
Is he more Mexican than American who wants to ruin the principles that brought him or his ancestors here?
If they counted all the absentee ballots, which go GOP 2:1, and counted the military ballots, Hillary would not have won the popular vote.
Then there is the issue of voting machines that flipped from Trump to Clinton, plus millions of illegal aliens voting, multiple votes from God knows how many democrat activists, etc., there is no way “that woman” won the popular vote.
Texas one of 21 states where it is not illegal for an elector to vote against the people. Anyone know why this is? If there is no good reason, sounds like we need to take this up in legislation.
I disagree.
He should be hung. Period.
In reference to Sisneros - maybe the #notmypresident alliance found some dirt on him and said they would expose it. Be funny if there weredirt out there on these guys running the alliance wouldn’t it?...; )
Shooting war? No.
‘Can hunting? Yes.
Ok, yup, shooting involved.
But I don’t think you would call it a “war”. (Too short lived.)
I can understand electors “voting their conscience” if it won’t matter - just like my wasted vote in Washington State when I wrote in my neighbor rather than Romney. (I had hopes for Trump in WA - silly me!)
I wonder though if any of these guys in WA (I think there are two Dems in WA that won’t vote for Clinton) - if Clinton was leading by one electoral vote - would they still not vote for her - and let Trump win? I doubt it.
I was wondering what would happen if a president-elect was found guilty of some terrible crime after they were elected. What would happen? Would the electoral college vote their conscience? Or just let the VP become the president? Of course not much of a time-frame for that to happen.
Unless it was Clinton!
The soap box and the jury box both failed to stop Hillary. If the ballot box results are overturned, the globalists figure we have no choices left.
I would hope that President-elect Trump is contacting electors. He should speak with them both in groups and one-on-one to:
(1) encourage his own electors to be faithful, and
(2) encourage Hillary electors to be faithful except in case of defections from his side that might change the outcome. In that case, any ethical Hillary electors should vote to sustain the rule of law, continue the system, and balance the Trump vote totals.
morgan..rothschilds..soros..calos slim...goldman...betwwen the lot could offer what 50mil each? to turn their vote?
Except for the fact that it's not illegal.
If I were an elector I wouldn’t be talking about going rogue. That’s a good way to get yourself dead.
No.
The entire electoral college thing is to be the last stand against electing a dictator, crazy person, or despot.
I am not suggesting for a second that Trump is any of those things.
But, that was the original intent. It is actually pretty cool.
