Doesn’t Congress have to approve this? If so how is it going to pass? What congressman - oh excuse me, how unpolitically correct of me - I meant what Congressperson is going to vote to end their term?

You expect these people to vote themselves out of office?

Good luck with that.

He can endorse term limits, but they won’t happened without a constitutional amendment. Good luck with that!

Trump can go ahead with proposing a term limits amendment to the states.

H O W E V E R …

Corrupt Congress has been wrongly allowing non-elected federal bureaucrats, including POTUS and state sovereginty-ignoring activist justices, to steal legislative powers, including 10th Amendment-protected state powers, to run the country and harass the states.

So even if the states give Trump his unofficially proposed term limits amendment, it remains that non-elected bureaucrats are still going to be running the country regardless if the members of Congress who helped to put these bureaucrats in power are out of office because of term limits.

What Trump ultimately needs to do is this. Trump needs to work with patriots to politically “force” the corrupt feds to surrender state powers, and uniquely associated state revenues, that the feds have been stealing from the states for the last 60+ years back to the states.

Then let the states, not the feds, provide social spending programs as the Founding States had intended for the states to do.

"Our citizens have wisely formed themselves into one nation as to others and several States as among themselves. To the united nation belong our external and mutual relations; to each State, severally, the care of our persons, our property, our reputation and religious freedom [emphasis added]." --Thomas Jefferson: To Rhode Island Assembly, 1801.

In fact, if Trump does not work with patriots to make Congress surrender stolen state powers, then it is only a matter of time before we have another lawless president like Obama that works in cahoots with corrupt Congress to oppress the people.

What sort of look did Ryan have on his face when he said this?

I am guessing either a smirk, or like he just took a suck out of the blackwater tank on an RV.

While you’re at it, make an amendment to repeal the 17th. I’d love to repeal the 16th also, but I’ll take this in little bites at a time...

Like we did so well when we altered the Founder’s intent by allowing popular election of Senators.

If done, term limits on Congress critters doesn’t go far enough. We have to limit the staffers and other folks who work for and support them. Otherwise they may just move from one elected member to the next and become the “power behind he throne” so to speak.

What's wrong with that picture.

We saw Paul Ryan’s press conference this morning.

Mrs. Submareener and I used to work for a company where the culture was to never make the delivery on time. She actually had to go down to corporate finance and tell them she wasn’t leaving without the DD-250 for one delivery. One of the software people actually did a change to the delivery package remotely that would have made the program not work. Luckily she was watching the files, and fixed the problem before she cut the delivery tape.

After she wrangled the delivery and got a signed DD-250 for the delivery, he said words to the effect: “I can’t believe it! We actually completed the delivery the first time, and it feels good!”

After that he was a changed man, and we had no trouble with future deliveries. Listening to Paul Ryan gave us the impression that Donald Trump was having the same effect.

I’m not a big believer in term limits. To me it’s going to put downward pressure on the age of Congress members, which will likely mean on average they’ll be more left-leaning.

While you’re at it, force all Congresscritters on the same medical plans as us commoners, no vesting until at least 7 years on the job, all pay increases go to the voters, and no legalized insider trading.
