Well, both papers are a joke, anyway.

When the wikileaks dumps were coming in hot & heavy, I recall seeing ONE reference in the Detroit News — ostensibly the ‘more conservative’ of the two. It detailed how Debbie Dingell had been omitted from some Dem party function to her everlasting outrage.

Anything about Hillary? The Clinton Foundation? Naw, but Debbie Dingell sure got the shaft...

Sheesh...

(In the interest of full disclosure, I only would look at the online version of the News, almost never the Free Press, so I probably missed many hard-hitting disclosures of the criminality that our watchdogs were hawking...)

Or not...

Sometime around 01 or 02 I stopped getting the Detroit News delivery, realizing I was only encouraging the stink they were putting out.

I did continue to peruse their online site almost exclusively for local Detroit sports news until they came out endorsing some third party person instead of Trump.

Once again I voted against the establishment Detroit paper by moving my once a day sports hit to Mlive.com. They do sports a little differently but it's good, and Mlive gives a much more State of Michigan approach to the news.

A huge difference is they don't really do any editorials, they just report.

I won't miss the Detnews & Freep.com at all.
