I didn’t know much about him then. He has now revealed so much about his character that he is dead to me.

Is your theory that he was denied citizenship and then applied for naturalization and went through the naturalization process?

You and I are on the same page.

I was in a political news vacuum until just prior to the convention. Mainly because I knew that the GOPe wanted Jeb v HRC, and I was so disgusted at the thought. The convention gave me encouragement, and now Jan. 20, 2017 cannot get here fast enough.

>>>”If a law passed by congress makes you a citizen you are by definition not a natural born citizen.”

Congress legislates what is required for being naturalized. Those not requiring naturalization can only be natural born or not citizens.

Congress determines what requires naturalization and therefore what does not. So both are determined by congress. Your argument here is specious.

>>>”The son of a Cuban..”

And the son of an a U.S. citizen.

Under U.S. law, the fact that he was born to a U.S. citizen mother makes him a citizen from birth - not requiring naturalization.

He crawled like the system submissive he is when Jeb crooked his finger.

Jeb! (this time the exclamation point has meaning)

Then he hired Neil Bush to continue his stupid, inept, filching campaign.

Oily Felito is a maggot. A globalist stalking horse to beguile gullible imbeciles.

“Cruz is a good conservative.”

Cruz is a neocon tool. A stalking horse for globalism. A God mocker, oathbreaker and deceiver.

So a person born here (US), of two NON- citizens, is a NBC? Am I reading you right?

I think the desire for power just took hold of him and wrecked him. Hopefully he will re-think and root it out.

I find myself smiling, during the day, ever since Trump won.

It really is miraculous.

I don’t trust Ted Cruz. This doesn’t make me happy. But with all the other wonderful appointments, I will live.

Bush lackey? Get real.

Ted Cruz is a Bushbot from way back, and even his dad may have been.

Indeed, it’s miraculous.

I’m grateful for the swing states, blue states, and counties that made it happen. And against all odds.

Indeed, it was a miraculous outcome.

Apparently his mother got it for him when he was 16. Before that, he was on paper, by law, technically a Canadian.

Two thoughts.

It would get Cruz out of the Senate.

If Cruz sucks as AG, Trump could fire him.

(I’m not fond of Cruz)

Yes, according to some around here, the recently deceased King of Thailand was a natural born citizen eligible to be President.
He was born in Cambridge MA

I’m sure that’s what the founders meant..../s

I just don’t love Ted Cruz at this point. I don’t know if he can be trusted with that kind of power. Brilliant - yes. Knows conservatism - yes. Loves the Constitution - don’t know.

If that’s what the current law says. People were talking about changing that law this year to stop anchor babies. The Constitution is not specific as to the definition of what makes someone a citizen. That is up to lawmakers to define. And we have seen that definition change a lot over the years.

From my perspective, it makes NO sense whatsoever to not give someone automatic citizenship if one of their parents is a citizen. But it also makes no sense to give automatic citizenship to someone born on our land whose parents are not at least legal residents.
