The key line from the article is the bit about there having been no recent threats or “sources of conflict” i.e. she’s feeling ignored and is trying to put her brand back in circulation.

(By the way, lest anyone find the word “yid” offensive, I am a Jew and use the rhyme playfully... I guess I am not very PC.) But - as an old guy - is it not telling that Anna Maranta goes by “Rabbi” or “Rabbi Anna Maranta” when her official bio suggests she is a rabbinical STUDENT and not a Rabbi? It’s just sort of odd - like someone calling themselves “Doctor” when they’re not. I guess you can get away with anything these days if you are first and foremost a victim, but it used to matter.
I would, as a Canadian citizen also an expat, agree with your statement-except for a qualification. The Canadian television media and the smooth,urban pundits who appear on it are all anti-Trump. It is so bad, that in the print media one "journalist" wrote that if the oil ran out in the USA, Trump would invade. I will agree if and it is a big if, Canada were truly represented by these worthies.
I went to the local Tim Hortons with our local paper in hand, headlined about Trump winning. People could see it quite plainly. Laid it flat on the table. I did this for three days.Nary a word about the U.S. election. The buzz was about just finishing their shift, or how they are getting on with the kids. A bit of hockey talk, wary comments about the coming winter. Don't even touch Canadian politics- at least as far as I know.
Different kinds of Canadians exist. I would presume the elite are to the left of Pravda. (laughs)
I hesitated before posting knowing that there are Canadians on here and that there are exceptions to generalizations. I knew I could rely on Free Republic Canadians to understand the ones I meant, and thanks for the reassurance about the interests of regular Canadians vs. the leftist, ruling media class. I’m glad to hear the latter is so thin on the ground and that you understood.
