Bill O'Reilly and Megyn Kelly's cold war heated up on Tuesday, the day both TV hosts were out promoting their new books.
O'Reilly suggested that Kelly is making their employer, Fox News, "look bad" by talking about alleged harassment by ex-Fox News boss Roger Ailes.
"I'm not interested in making my network look bad. At all. That doesn't interest me one bit," O'Reilly said on CBS.
Anchor Norah O'Donnell asked: "Is that what she's doing?"
O'Reilly: "I don't know. But I'm not going to even bother with it."
He also cast some shade on whether Kelly's book will sell a large number of copies.
Behind-the-scenes tension between the two hosts has occasionally shown up on TV. But Tuesday's comments were especially eyebrow-raising.
O'Reilly was on "CBS This Morning" to promote a new children's book, "Give Please a Chance."
Kelly was on a competing morning show, ABC's "Good Morning America," to promote her new memoir "Settle for More."
In the memoir, Kelly described Ailes' unwanted sexual advances. She felt she had little choice but to write about it because, in July, Ailes was sued by ex-anchor Gretchen Carlson. The lawsuit triggered an internal investigation. Kelly and numerous other women at Fox spoke with the investigators.
Kelly and her legal counsel did not go into detail about the alleged harassment at the time, but Kelly added information about it to her book, knowing she would be asked about the allegations during the press tour for the book.
When the CBS anchors brought up Kelly's book to O'Reilly, he said, "I'm not that interested in this."
Gayle King asked: "No?"
O'Reilly: "No-- I mean, it's over for--"
O'Donnell: "In sexual harassment? You're not interested in sexual harassment?"
O'Reilly: "I'm not interested in basically litigating something that is finished

From the USA today article I read off of Drudge, I now hold her in the lowest esteem. I was willing to give her a chance at redemption because Trump did. But unfounded and substantiated allegations that he “bullied’ or that she feared for her safety and got armed security with the attendant implication that Trump was planning bodily hard is actionable slander. Trump is for to busy and totally focused on saving this nation from dishonest people like MyGYN Kelly. I now will make a list of her sponsors and not only boycott her by her sponsors. She has no real talent except being a bitch in which she excels. I wish her nothing but ill.
To his credit, Bill has been great since the election.

I don't detest O'Reilly at all. There was a time when I was quite a fan of his. In his prime, he was one of the only interviewers who would not let his guests dance their way out of tough questions. My problem with him is that he is not nearly as intelligent as he thinks he is, and he constantly wades into things he does not fully understand. I have not watched him for years.
I pity him a bit in the Megyn Kelly thing, as she essentially came to prominence on his show.
She also made a snide remark about Hannity. She needs to go.
Megan (Me-Again) was a never Trumper and a presstitute.
He always struck me as a guy trying to walk the fence so he never upsets his viewers/readers. He’s the master of taking both sides.
I don’t like big mouth, but I sure as hell agree with him on this. Kelly has turned into a mental nutcase, who has a massive , elitist ego.
I find Bill to be arrogant, and I agree with him not being as intelligent as he thinks he is.
But he was intelligent last night. His analysis was very good.
As far as Kelly coming to prominence on his show, it happened because of her looks.
But over the long haul, turns out she was only skin deep.
She doesn’t really offer any sort of unique insight into anything, and her looks faded as looks always do.
Her fame went to her head..
She had a great show when she first started

Did he really think seeBS cared ANYTHING about his book...and instead used the opportunity to take a shot at hated rival Fox News and their equally hated #1 guy???

I remember the days when Megyn would be on Bill’s show (when she was first getting started) & he was taking a good bit of credit for her success. My how the times have changed

Considering O’Reilly had his own well-known sexual harassment scandal, why would anyone think he would be interested in talking about it?
She’s on Dr Phil now. Turned it off.
Yes. I LOVED his opening monologue on November 9th, when he let loose with all of the vile descriptors of HRC. He seemed like he had been holding back so as to be “fair” prior to the election, so I was pleasantly surprised when he expressed his true sentiments.
