Trump has a plan to rebuild our Infrastructure. The amount of spending will be tremendous, maybe unprecedented, in an area that has always been rife with Pork Barrel gorging. Politicians need to bring spending to their states and especially to their special interests.
I wonder how the administration will stop the pigs from feeding at the trough. Or will they dole out the bribes in order to keep Congress in line for everything else. I hope not.

Everyone needs to take a deep breath when stories like this come out. There are a million stories that are trying to advance the argument that the Republicans are going to stab voters in the back, or that Trump is backing away from his promises, or that the Trump coalition is at war with itself or other Republicans. Trump was elected a week ago. We have no idea what he and the Republican Congress are planning yet. I suspect that his first 100 days will see a burst of legislation that every conservative and Trump supporter will be on board with. Let’s see if the GOP actually does bring back earmarks. Until we see it, its just more rumors and gossip.
I, for one, want to enjoy this victory for a while. I don’t want to immediately go back into “they are stabbing me in the back” mode.

Earmarks have gotten a bad rap. Actually, they keep control of expenditures in Congress, where the Constitution places it. Getting rid of earmarks cedes control to the executive.

These Congress critters are indebted to their super packed donors... They use US via legislation to pay off their campaign debts.

Have three congressman suffered aneurysms simultaneously? How the hell could they be discussing reviving one of the most hated, corrupt practices a week after Donald Trump was elected with a mandate to smash that kind of corruption?!

Tom Rooney: NAY (was YEA)
The Floridian says he will not vote for Trump in the wake of a video in which Trump boasted about sexually assaulting women. Rooney will also not vote for Clinton. (October 8, 2016)
Rooney was one of the earliest members of Congress to back Trump. Im a Republican and hes our nominee. All these people who are saying theyre not going to support who the Republican primary electorate has chosen need to re-evaluate why theyre part of this team. The people have spoken and you have to respect that. (May 4, 2016)

More from the article:
This isnt the first time Republicans have tried to resuscitate earmarks. In 2014, a similar earmark amendment was defeated by the GOP conference.
Earlier this month, Jason Grumet, founder and president of the Bipartisan Policy Center, urged Congress to bring back earmarks. He wrote in a Washington Post op-ed that lawmakers need the incentive of earmarks to take tough votes.
Our representatives must simultaneously govern in the national interest while appealing to local constituents, Grumet wrote. Having eliminated the opportunities to build goodwill by doing something popular back home, we should not be surprised by a diminished willingness to take tough votes and expend political capital for the good of the nation.
The senior House aide predicted Wednesdays vote would be close given the secret ballot and the desire of some members to return to the practice of earmarking.
