He is an antichrist, an accuser of the saints.
These are the only places that antichrist is mentioned in the bible. I see no accusing going on...
1 John 2:18
Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour.

Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist —denying the Father and the Son.

What’s the polar opposite of the role of Christ? It’s the devil. Christ wants to save you, the devil wants to keep you lost. Christ will pardon your sins, the devil will rub them in (but will encourage your pride). It’s another perspective on the devil.
John takes a spiritual view of the situation and equates people with the demonic entities that inspire them. Other bible writers distinguish them.
