I think it’s smart. I had a co-worker ask how could Trump possibly deport 11 million many people. I told him, he doesn’t have to. All he has to do is to make it where illegals can’t work here and they will self deport.

Priebus knows how DC functions and where all the RNC skeletons are, that makes him the perfect persuader.

If photos like this started popping up on the internet/tv, I think these insiders would fold faster than Superman on laundry day. Me, I like it. Such is life.

Read today that they will be going after the criminal illegals first. Some may be imprisoned, some may be deported, etc. Their numbers are high.

Trump may not have to deport very many...they may just leave.

Illegal criminals to be deported

Political people for political jobs. Priebus has been juggling the congressional turds for some time now. That makes perfect sense to have him as wrangler in chief. Bannon has always been known for trimming the BS off a proposal. He has never been a yes man. He should make a good sounding board.
Neither of these folks will be heading an agency. So far, the job and the role players appear to match.

Exactly. There is no realistic way 11 to 20 million foreigners who are here illegally are going to be rounded up, processed through the courts, and deported. Was never going to happen.

However, if you take away the jobs, the free education, the free housing and free food that they do not have a legal right to, they will by and large deport themselves. They got here on their own, they can leave on their own.

Self Deportation must be the strategy.

Trump is to large extent the business element you say he should bring. He is not weak in that department. He needs the political help. Good move as I see it. And Priebus did not run during the primary.

I should clarify by saying...

Self Deportation and the rule of law must be the strategy.

they would go hand in hand.

Kellyanne would be great to replace Priebus. She will take her winning campaign style across the GOP spectrum... what she did for Trump she will do for all in the GOP.

See link at #26. Don’t think the criminals will self deport, but there is no point in shutting the cupboard door if the roaches are still inside. We have to get out the bad ones before we can call consider the wall. Criminals have large webs, one never knows what we will catch...or whom.

If ever you need an “insider” for a position it’s for master gatekeeper Chief of Staff. Being an insider is almost a prerequisite.

Bannon is an outsider and a muckraker for sure.

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. I suspect this is a way of keeping him reigned in.

I do not believe that Trump would pick anyone that he didn’t believe would help him be successful. Of course, there is the old adage : It can sometimes be better to have the camel in the tent pissing out than outside pissing in. ;>)

Gawd, you are insufferable with your Bannon bashing. I’m still waiting for you to tell all of us what a horrible pick Trump made in tapping Bannon to be the chief strategist of his WINNING campaign. Some of us like to win.

Prebus was a Tea Partyguy. He stood against the nevertrumpers and helped Trump win the election. Is not an insider.

I have to say that I really, really like this. Bannon helped Trump focus his message, Conway helped Trump develop the strategy to get his message out, and Priebus helped Trump utilize the GOP network to put the campaign strategy into action.

Now, Trump is bringing the same dynamics with him to Washington, D.C. The main fear that conservatives have of Trump is that he will “moderate” or water down his campaign promises. The reasons we fear this is because we have been burned so many times before by politicians who campaign as conservatives but govern as mushy moderates because they are trying to be politically correct, popular or are beholden to donors. The other reason some fear Trump going back on his campaign promises is because of his previously held liberal positions as a businessman. Bannon is as an uncompromising, hard-core conservative as you can get. Both Bannon and Trump are outsiders, and they aren’t coming to DC to make friends. They are coming like a freight train to DRAIN THE SWAMP. PERIOD. With Bannon as his Chief Strategist, this is the clearest signal possible that President Trump plans on being exactly the same guy (at least policy wise) as Candidate Trump.

Priebus knows D.C. and as head of the RNC has obviously worked with and helped all of the GOP office holders. He will be used by Trump to get the GOP Congress unified behind Trump’s agenda (set by Trump and Bannon).

Conway’s position is yet to be determined but I’m sure she will have a vital role.

Nobody should be getting their panties in a wad over either of these appointments. Folks, it won a campaign that everyone else said couldn’t be won. Let the WINNING continue!
