Here’s a thought...Trump understands the DNC, Scalia’s death, Arkanicide victims, and thus wants to create a narrative of keeping the enemy guessing where he is. There will likely be empty flights on AF1 and the helicopters just for that reason.
Let it not frustrate us, but rather impress us of his savviness.

I’ve been waiting for this from the beginning. NYC is very close and it is their long term home. I am assuming Barron’s school is close by. It’s a mere jump to fly to DC.

Obama did vast renovations...All the rooms are probably wired right into Saudi Arabia...Likely wouldn’t be safe for the Country nor future Presidents to live in the White House...

I like old houses, but I don’t think it’s possible to deep clean the White House enough to get me to live in it. First the Clinton Rape Fields and now the Obama tribe - the stench alone would keep me out of it.
There are all sorts of expensive defensive thingies on Air Force One that Trumps plane does not have. Same with the White House.
Trump thinks he is above it.
He can’t really. It’s more than a plane. It’s a flying presidential office. Plus it has multiple anti missile and anti aircraft defenses Trumps planes don’t. Plus “hardened” communications and data links. Air force one is a flying bunker.
