Trump Names Steve Bannon as White House Chief Strategist and Reince Priebus as Chief of Staff
Breitbart ^ | November 13, 2016 | Alex Swoyer

Posted on 11/13/2016 2:08:14 PM PST by monkapotamus

Bannon responded to the position, saying, “I want to thank President-elect Trump for the opportunity to work with Reince in driving the agenda of the Trump Administration.”

“We had a very successful partnership on the campaign, one that led to victory,” Bannon added. “We will have that same partnership in working to help President-elect Trump achieve his agenda.”

“It is truly an honor to join President-elect Trump in the White House as his Chief of Staff,” Priebus stated of the annoucement. “I am very grateful to the President-elect for this opportunity to serve him and this nation as we work to create an economy that works for everyone, secure our borders, repeal and replace Obamacare and destroy radical Islamic terrorism. He will be a great President for all Americans.”

Reince Priebus as Chief of Staff

Priebus is described as "a close ally of Paul Ryan" by the Chicago Tribune. I'd have preferred someone who isn't a close ally of the chief RINO in Congress to drive the president's agenda daily.

What “smear”? Just the facts. He’s made Breitbart a haven for the alt-right, as he himself has said.

The guy is using his website to promote a philosophy that is hostile to constitutional conservatives and to Western values.

Yes, you're right, that Breitbart site is difficult to navigate! Steve Bannon is a genius and a patriot! He also served in the US Navy! Wikipedia:Not usually flattering or wholly truthful, but YOU KNOW THAT

I disagree. Bannon understands working people; Bannon is a conservative populist who instinctively knew how to bring in Reagan Democrats. He’s very very smart.

Steve Bannon is his knife man like Gurney Halleck for Paul Atreides in Dune.

I heard he was attacked by a grizzly and killed it by ripping out its canine and stabbing it thru the heart.

Yah, and a month later, Priebus was charged by a grizzly and get this...he talked it down, whipped out a voter registration card and filled it out for the bear as a new Republican. The bear became a poll watcher in Anchorage, Alaska, and was the basis for the Dems lawsuit against the GOP about voter intimidation. All this despite the fact that the bear was in fact a single mommabear with three cubs.

MAGA!

No, Trump is a cpopulist. Bannon is something entirely different.

Read up on the alt-right, for which Breitbart is now a platform.

Yuge mistake making Rinse the Prius COS.

Priebus will bring in his GOPe buddies to backstab Trump at every turn. George HW Bush’s people did the same thing to Ronald Reagan in the 1980s as a way to diminish Reagan’s control over the direction of the Republican Party.

Breitbart lives on .... In the Trump administration! !

I like to think that Andrew is very pleased with this election and thrilled with his "peeps" participation, which continues into President Trump's Administration!

God bless and keep all!

“Rancid got promoted to Trump’s secretary”. Don’t have a clue about what the Chief of Staff does, do you.

The guy is using his website to promote a philosophy that is hostile to constitutional conservatives and to Western values.

Absolute hogwash. I read Breitbart articles all the time and I listen to their radio program almost every day on my way to work, including when Bannon hosted the program. To say that he and Breitbart are "hostile to constitutional conservatives and to Western values" is a pathetic lie. I would have NOTHING to do with anyone who espoused such views.

After adding Bannon as his chief campaign strategist, the Trump message got focused and took hold. It won the day.

Tell me what a horrible pick Bannon was of Trump's to run his campaign. Go right ahead. I would love to hear it.

Ben Shapiro, who helped perpetuate the Michelle Fields scam and resigned (or was fired?) from Breitbart with her, despises Steve Bannon, so he must be a great guy!

Shapiro wrote, "Many former employees of Breitbart News are afraid of Steve Bannon. He is a vindictive, nasty figure, infamous for verbally abusing supposed friends and threatening enemies. Bannon is a smarter version of Trump.."

I went back and looked at your posting history.

You were posting a lot of negative articles and comments about Trump.
And a LOT of positive comments about Cruz.
I thought you sounded like a butt hurt Cruzbot.
I did some research and yep, you are a butt hurt Cruzbot.
And your axe with Bannon and Breitbart has to do with
Bannon and Breitbart not caring the water for Cruz.

Your posting history is available for all to search.

So your current comments should be viewed as a still butt hurt Cruzbot.
And as a result not taken seriously.

Rinsed knows where all the money is.
It makes sense to me if they intend to rebuild and perhaps cleanse the GOP of those not loyal to Trump.
He has been, and will be Trumps whip.
Were going to have a hard time agreeing on any one person. I was thinking Kelly Conway or Knute.
Everyone needs to remember that anyone is replaceable.

The three people most responsible for Trump winning are Conway, Bannon and Priebus.

This needs to be repeated more often around here. There was a team that made it possible for Trump to shock the world and restore hope for a whole lot of us. Priebus was a KEY member of that team and he worked tirelessly (by all accounts) to elect Trump. He was highly effective on election day and lest we forget, he never succumbed to the pressure like the RINO darlings did. I did not think much of him before Trump because he represented what I do not really like (the GOPe), but the guy deserves a chance with those of you being critical of him. He earned it.

Actually I do. He will not be a traditional COS. Bannon will assume most of the COS power. Reince is the face of it and will be a go between. Remember how small Trump’s inner group has been. Trump with Bannon’s council will make almost all COS decisions and will regulate his own access. Priapus is there to deal with the GOPe.
