-- Beyond the government awarding no bid contracts to Donald's Trump, inc. I can't fathom any conflicts of interest. --

Reality has little to do with it. The press manufactures issues at will. They've incited mobs with the conclusion that Trump is a racist, bigot, misogynist and xenophobic.

The states who agree with this must pass it within the state with both houses. So far in the latest story you posted all those states that have passed recently only are one house which I’m assuming are democrat controlled.

Not so.

It has been enacted into law in 11 states with 165 electoral votes, and will take effect when enacted by states with 105 more electoral votes. The bill has passed one chamber in 12 additional states with 96 electoral votes.

The bill has now passed a total of 34 state legislative chambers in 23 states.

Arizona House (in 2016)

Arkansas House (in 2007 and 2009)

California Senate (in both 2006, 2007, and 2011) - Bill is now law in California

California Assembly (in 2006, 2008, and 2011) - Bill is now law in California

Colorado House (in 2009)

Colorado Senate (in both 2006 and 2007)

Connecticut House (in 2009)

Delaware House (in 2009 and 2011)

District of Columbia Council (in 2010) - Bill is now law in District of Columbia

Hawaii House (in 2007 and 2008) - Bill is now law in Hawaii

Hawaii Senate (in 2007 and 2008) - Bill is now law in Hawaii

Illinois House (in 2007 and 2008) - Bill is now law in Illinois

Illinois Senate (in 2007) - Bill is now law in Illinois

Maine Senate (in 2008)

Maryland House (in 2007) - Bill is now law in Maryland

Maryland Senate (in 2007) - Bill is now law in Maryland

Massachusetts House (in 2008 and 2010) - Bill is now law in Massachusetts

Massachusetts Senate (in 2008 and 2010) - Bill is now law in Massachusetts

Michigan House (in 2008)

Nevada Assembly (in 2009)

New Jersey Assembly (in 2007) - Bill is now law in New Jersey

New Jersey Senate (in 2008) - Bill is now law in New Jersey

New Mexico House (in 2009)

New York Assembly (in 2013 and 2014 and 2016) - Bill is now law in New York

New York Senate (in 2010, 2011, and 2014 and 2016) - Bill is now law in New York

North Carolina Senate (in 2007)

Oklahoma Senate (in 2014)

Oregon House (in 2009, 2013, and 2015)

Rhode Island House (in 2008 and 2013) - Bill is now law in Rhode Island

Rhode Island Senate (in 2008, 2009, 2011, and 2013) - Bill is now law in Rhode Island

Vermont House (in 2008 and 2011) - Bill is now law in Vermont

Vermont Senate (in 2008, 2009, and 2011) - Bill is now law in Vermont

Washington House (in 2009) - Bill is now law in Washington state

Washington Senate (in 2008 and 2009) - Bill is now law in Washington state

I believe if it ever gets to where it achieves it’s. Purpose it will be challenged and will wind up in the USSC which in my view will be controlled by a sufficient Conservative majority to keep the ECV as it currently is today.

You assume too much.

There is no doubt that Hillary will win the popular vote. It just isn’t the way we select a President. It is worrying however, because when you lose the popular vote in 6 out of the last 7 elections, it is an indication that the composition of the electorate is changing. Our margins of victory in TX are dwindling as well in many of the red states. Places like GA and NC are now battleground states. VA is lost.

GA is not a battle ground state in a year without #Never Trumpers and without “the 1st Women Presidential candidate”. Our GOP Senator running for re-election won easily.

#Never Trump did manage to suppress Trump votes in traditional GOP areas. GA would be a dark red state in a normal year.

Greatest point is, WHO ACTUALLY BELIEVES HALF THE COUNTRY IS RACIST in 2014? Seriously??? And if that is their only argument, they will never win hearts and minds.

That is why anything other than the strict enforcement of our current immigration laws on those already here illegally will end our country as known by our Constitution.

You said it wasn’t a bill and now you say it is a bill in some States. Also looks as if some of the States passing it in one House like NC in 2007 are red States now and have little chance in the foreseeable future of success. It also seems as if the States needed are ALL in the South. Good luck with that.

The Hispanic population in GA is increasing. Bush lost GA in 1992. Bush 43 captured GA in 2004 by 16.59%. Obama lost GA by 5.2% in 2008 and 7.8% in 2012. Hillary lost GA to date by 5.3%.

Hillary received 1,869,683 votes, the most ever received by a Dem candidate in GA. Trump received 2,085,068, the most ever for a Rep candidate.

Legal immigration is a far greater problem. Since 1990 35 million legal permanent immigrants have entered this country. It is the equivalent of the population of Canada. We have just had three of the four highest decades of legal immigration in our history. By 2023 we will have the highest percentage of foreign born in our history. By 2043 non-Hispanic whites will be 50% of the population down from 1970 when it was 89%. Immigrants and their children drive 80% of our annual population growth.

I suggest you go to the link and learn more about it. You are making the wrong assumptions. It is not a bill in Congress. Using interstate compacts bypass Congress and the Electoral College.

There have been red states like OK and AZ passing this legislation. States with 165 electoral votes already have it as law. All they need is another 105 electoral votes to ensure direct election of a President based on the popular vote. This is supposed to be a bipartisan effort.

Halffof the votes they have are from 2 States which still leaves a lot of States left to amass the 105 votes and most of those areSouthern States.

What happens if a Staate which passed thisin both chambers has a change of heart? I assume it can revoke the law passed and in those States passing it one House, that can also change if power shifts in that House, right?

It seems as if every State which as passed this must remain with it and any State in which it has passed in 1 Chamber must hold that chamber until they get the other chamber if this is to pass.

Am i right in saying the majority of States and Chambers needed are in the very red South?

No They have already locked up by law 11 states that total 165. There are 12 states where it has passed at least one house of the state legislature for a total of 96 electoral votes. If they get those then all they need is 9 electoral votes for the needed 270.

There are plenty of blue and purple states that could make up the 9 electoral votes. Check out the list of states that are still out there, e.g., PA (20), WI (10), CT (7), VA (13), MN (10), MA (4) are still out there.

What happens if a state which has already passed this whether in one house for both houses later on decides to change its mind due to a change in politics within the state?

Have any of the States which you say have passed this into law done so while controlled by the GOP?

Last question comma suppose they get to the magic number of 270 and the final state admitted passes it. The next day one of the States involved in that 270 decides they want out does it then revert back to EC?

The popular vote is a joke. This is the United States voting not one Federal gummit. Every state is a mini-Country voting individually rather one giant state.
