Yea, I was thinking the same...a few may want to ‘make a statement’ but if they affect the outcome, they likely will be looking over their shoulders for a very long time.

I think they vote anonymously. In 2004, some elector got confused and voted for John Edwards for president as well as for vice president. The vote got recorded that way. We know what state the elector came from and which party, but we never found out who made the blunder.

No matter how long it takes.
