New York Times: We blew it on Trump
New York Post ^ | November 12, 2016 | Michael Goodwin

Posted on 11/12/2016 4:35:42 AM PST by Labyrinthos

The Gray Lady feels the agony of political defeat — in her reputation and in her wallet.

After taking a beating almost as brutal as Hillary Clinton’s, the New York Times on Friday made an extraordinary appeal to its readers to stand by her...

Yeah, sure. Everything will be forgiven after a single mea culpa letter. NOT. They have to earn back the people’s trust. Unfortunately for them, that will take years. Maybe decades.

They insist on self-destruction, and they refuse to alter course for something as petty as readership.

“Blowing it on TRUMP.” Meaning they didn’t lie, collude, deceive enough to get Hillary the Presidency.

This is what I got from their explanation:

They realize that they need to hire more reporters who understand voters in rural America - anywhere more then 10 miles outside DC, NYC, SF, Chicago, any other liberal paradise.

These new reporters, with greater understanding of the average American, will be able to explain to us stupid rubes how dangerous someone like Trump is and convince us to vote for the correct candidate next time.

They’ll also probably hire more feminists since voters need to understand how important it is to have a vagina in the oval office and the reporters they have were not able to explain this properly to all the morons who are unfortunately allowed to vote.

While insisting his staff had “reported on both candidates fairly,” he . . .

Enough with the establishment media hand wringing about how they “blew it” with Trump. They intentionally pushed their fake propaganda polls and pundit lies, all the while knowing that Trump was leading Team Hag.

Michael....

The Gray Lady is actually the Old Gray Whore, madame to a brothel of presstitutes.

Calling her a lady is an insult to actual ladies.

If you must use jargon, at least get it right

must assess how and why Baquet made the decision to sever the paper from its roots. He must assess the impact on reporters and editors, and whether they felt pressure to conform their stories to Baquet’s political bias.

Newsflash for the NYT, firing one scapegoat ain't gonna change the situation you're in.

“my subscription is down from three days to two days a week”.....

There are many other more regarded, “bird cage liners” than the New York Times. Save your money!

NYT: If you mean what you say, assign investigative reporters to the Clinton Foundation and the CGI.

The only thing we get is the New York Times Crossword Puzzle, which you can subscribe to online separately, and just print out. One of the best puzzles!

Are you kidding? Why buy that crummy rag at all? You realize you're putting money into the hands of the very people who hate you the most?

These are the death rattles of our most vicious, insidious enemies. We should hear them as anthems to Truth, and the sound of Justice knocking at the door.

As of this morning, my subscription is down from three days to two days a week. If I could purchase just the Travel and Sports sections, then I would.

My subscription to the New York Times has been at zero for as long as I can remember.

Why would anyone purchase even one edition of that garbage?

There are other sources of information on Sports and Travel.

I agree with you. The NYTimes’s election online graphs and info were very good.

However, IMO, the rest of the paper has been biased in a holier-than-thou academic way.
