One of Trump's First Decisions After the Election... [WOW!! Ebell in the EPA!!)
Independent Journal Review ^ | Nov. 10, 2016- | Kayla Brandon

Donald Trump's transition team is preparing for the billionaire businessman to take over as commander in chief, they're ruffling a few feathers along the way.

Scientific American reports Trump has selected climate change critic, Myron Ebell, to lead his Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) transition team.

Ebell, who's the director of the Center for Energy and Environment at the conservative Competitive Enterprise Institute, has been described by Newsweek as a fierce opponent of climate change, which the publisher calls “entirely at odds with scientific consensus.”

David Goldston, a policy analyst at the Natural Resources Defense Council Action Fund, explained that Ebell's disbelief in climate change would “utterly destroy” any environmental advances made by the Obama administration:

“The Competitive Enterprise [Ebell's employer] Institute has done everything it can politically and through litigation to block any forward movement on climate and to try to harass anybody who is trying to get forward movement.”

Trump's controversial pick should come to no surprise, given his harsh stance on climate change:

The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive. — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 6, 2012

Give me clean, beautiful and healthy air - not the same old climate change (global warming) bullshit! I am tired of hearing this nonsense. — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 29, 2014

The backlash Trump's receiving from the left is expected, but some are taking it a step further by petitioning for Ebell to not lead the EPA transition team.

It reads, in part:

“Donald Trump has chosen a leading climate skeptic to head the EPA transition. Do not let a man who denies science in the name of profit lead the nation in environmental protection.”

The petition needs 100,000 signatures in order to get a response from the White House; it has a mere 1,055 so far.

Other Democrats on social media were just as upset:

Fuck, Trump picks Exxon funded climate denier, Myron Ebell, to head EPA transition https://t.co/UAtF2x1F0a — Naadir Jeewa (@randomvariable) November 9, 2016

Myron Ebell, Trump’s pick to lead the EPA, is a lobbyist for fossil fuel industry. Think the system’s rigged? Ask who’s doing the rigging. — Darcy James Argue (@darcyjamesargue) November 10, 2016

So it begins. Trumps transition man for the EPA is @myronebell who is one of the biggest climate skeptics around. Good job America. — Akash Patel (@ab_patel9) November 9, 2016

Senior politics editor of The Huffington Post, Sam Stein, summed up his thoughts on Trump's controversial pick:

FWIW. we have probably lost the battle against climate change tonight — Sam Stein (@samsteinhp) November 9, 2016

Though Newsweek notes Ebell leading the EPA transition team doesn't mean he will definitely have a job within a Trump EPA, his position is undoubtedly a sign of what's to come.

Wow, I just made up “scienceling” as a term for “budding scientist” or whatever, but when I searched on it, I found it’s a Twitter address, and I have to say it’s not what I had in mind:

BioNanoNerd, egg freak and bookworm. Splashes of roller derby, equestrianism and hockey, with dollops of WISE and STEM. Dubliner nerding it up in Edinburgh

...wouldn’t it be great if the first orders to the EPA was to figure out how to disassemble itself and distribute itself to the states?

That's a perfect job for "Secretary" Sarah Palin, and then on to her next project.

You got it backwards. “:^)

Tear down the EPA, and bury it under the wall.

Kerry is down in the Antarctica right now combating global warming. Wonder how he’s taking this news. After all, he thinks it is more dangerous than ISIS.

Trump’s Climate Contrarian: Myron Ebell Takes On the E.P.A.
NY Times ^ | Nov. 11, 2016 | HENRY FOUNTAIN

Posted on 11/11/2016, 2:51:30 PM by Innovative

The mug-shot posters, pasted on walls and lampposts around Paris by an activist group during the United Nations climate talks last year, were hardly flattering. They depicted Myron Ebell, a climate contrarian, as one of seven “climate criminals” wanted for “destroying our future.”

But in his customary mild-mannered way, Mr. Ebell, who directs environmental and energy policy at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, a libertarian advocacy group in Washington, brushed it off.

In looking for someone to follow through on his campaign vow to dismantle one of the Obama administration’s signature climate change policies, President-elect Donald J. Trump probably could not have found a better candidate for the job than Mr. Ebell.

Mr. Ebell, who revels in taking on the scientific consensus on global warming, will be Mr. Trump’s lead agent in choosing personnel and setting the direction of the federal agencies that address climate change and environmental policy more broadly.

What has he got to lose?!

He already knows that the Washington establishment is NOT his friend Never will be. The Media is not his friend and every bedwetting safe space seeking activist wannabe liberal has made themselves his enemy already. That is not going to change Ever. They Are going to attack him Over and Over and Over again.

So what difference does it make to Donald J Trump if they say bad things about him and rampage in the streets. He needs to DO what he Promised to do.

Get On With It! This is a Great Start!

Well said Samurai...

That’s what Trump will expose, who was colluding with who. Remember Solyndra? That was just one scandal, there should be thousands of criminals on their way to prison.

And no, I am not going to get tired of winning.
