Another night of nationwide protests against Donald Trump's election came to a head in Portland, where thousands marched and some smashed store windows, lit firecrackers and sparked a dumpster blaze. Police termed the protest a riot and used "less lethal munitions" to help clear the streets. Some 4,000 protesters surged into the downtown area late Thursday night with chants like "we reject the president-elect!"

I heard on the morning news that a protest coming to Indianapolis tomorrow. Will protest at the IN State House. Requested to use Monument Circle first.
My daughter tells me that it seems a lot of what I’d call “young, new-age hippies” become artists or vegan store vendors and the like. I watched a Netflix show called “Tiny Houses” that was about these kind of people young and old building their own “Tiny” mobile houses and squatting on land there anywhere they could.
It’s where young people go to retire. She told me about the first episode of Portlandia about the “1990s STILL EXISTS!” “It’s in Portland....”

Simple way to handle this, close off the city, cut the power and water service. Nothing in nothing out. After a few months send in the bulldozers to clean it up and start over. Repeat as necessary elsewhere.
They’re showing their contempt for democracy. They’ll only succeed in swinging the pendulum even further away from their ideology.

Oregon wants to secede. As a civil war outfit, they would not be very effective. As the South discovered, not having manufacturing tends to be a problem. Portland would literally have nothing but long poles cut from trees, slugs to throw, but soldiers who can run really fast in their Nikes, which they have to import from China anyway.
If you watch the first 5 minutes of the first “Portlandia” episode is really a great description of the Portland thing. Interesting that it is almost a completely white thing, but Portland does have some racial issues. Another interesting thing is that despite all the liberals the city is chocked full of strip clubs.
The West Coast seccession movement is easy to cure.
One statement from North Korea would do it—the current dictator just needs to announce plans to make the West Coast a nuclear test zone!
Then they will stop whining about Trump.
I lived in Detroit during the riot. I remember watching the National Guard in the streets.
