Very good article. In the end, Trump went for a big tent approach - just that it wasn’t the same big tent the GOPe and Dims were after - radical Islamists, welfare recipients, rich white liberals, and homos.

So when they admit people can have legitimate reasons for different views than theirs, then you ask how do they know what reasospns someone has if they havent told you? Are you not merely assuming these people dont agree with you because you assume the worst about them when you dont know thing one about them? You assume the worst so you can ignore them and call,them names like haters and then be intolerant towards them,,and you dont have to believe they might have valid reasons for not agreeing with you. Because it threatens your liberal,safe space worldview.

At the same time, as a religious person who spent some time in theater in the Middle East, one of my best buddies is Muslim and I just don’t think it would be gentlemanly or civil to demand he “renounce his holy book.” Then again, I am a Jew, not a Christian, so I guess we’re all going to burn.

I don’t understand how one can remain muslim once they experience freedom.

I have never read the Koran, never read the Talmud, never have finished reading the Bible.
I am what most folks would call a Born Again Christian (and yes, I truly believe), all the holy books mentioned above (and all the others I am sure have been written) may have been written with DIVINE INSPIRATION, but they were still written by fallible MEN.
Men aren’t perfect; only GOD is perfect, only GOD can decide if you burn or not.
