The Real Reason the Media Got This Election All Wrong
Investor's Business Daily ^ | 11/9/2016 | Staff

Bias: The one-word explanation for why the liberal media were completely caught off guard by the groundswell of support for Donald Trump among working class families: Obama.

In his book on the 2008 presidential election, former CBS News correspondent Bernie Goldberg titled it "A Slobbering Love Affair: The True (and Pathetic) Story of the Torrid Romance Between Barack Obama and the Mainstream Media."

Like any such torrid romance, the mainstream media never could see the flaws in the object of their deep and abiding affection. That devotion continued unabated for eight years.

So, as a result, as failure piled on failure during the Obama administration, the press pretended that all was well.

Even Hillary Clinton's strongest supporters would admit in private that she was a god-awful political candidate.

The 2016 election also found her in a bizarre political position. She had Barack Obama and the party leadership running around campaigning for her because she was too tired to campaign herself and/or so unlikeable that she had to keep out of the public eye. Her success would depend entirely on hard-left Democrat voters she had antagonized TWICE -- while running against Obama in 2008 and against Sanders in 2016. She couldn't count on her white, working-class Rust Belt supporters from 2008 anymore, because they were voting overwhelmingly for Trump.

I sometimes get nervous hearing that “republicans” now control the House, the Senate and the Executive, because now they’ll commence their idiotic “reach across the aisle” BS.

However this is Trump we’re talking about.

He’s different.

Almost all are on board wirh communism.

I worked on newspapers in high school and college.

They party hard. They drink a lot. They have low paying jobs. They believe about making change, one way or another, however they have to. They look for the big break for promotions and raises. They puttheir time in, they think they sacrifice, they feel undrappeciated and are unsung silent heroes and some feel part of govrnment, chech and balance. They feel elte and if they are not living well and not appeciated for ALL they do, all the suposed sh@! they have to take, the people that ae doing less important things than them but doing better off tan them, that isnt fair. They mostly all love socialism.

The 98% all voting the same isnt because they ae forced to. They self admit it in polls. Where no one records their names.

And I have to give kudos to my high school journalist advisor for teaching actual genuine proper journalism to me. Reporter 1st year, copy editor second year, feature editor third year, and news editor 4th year. In college, graphics editor for two years.

Easy to see the media got too caught up in their own hype and communist ideology.

Might have been a Democrat accused of pretense & acting like a Repub ...

As the Wikileaks dumps of her Wall Street speech transcripts showed, that's exactly what she was. That's also why she's on track to get almost 6 million fewer votes than Obama got in 2012.

She would have been better off running on the Republican ticket.

The same pollsters that said Hillary would win say he has 56% approval.

My @$$.

Sure as hell wasn’t close to that with people that actually voted.

It wasn’t bias it was collusion.

The evidence was exposed by Julian Assange.

The reason behind that reason is that the globalist big money boys paid them to be biased.

Exactly.

Like the man said: “Where there is emotion, there is NO substance.”

And Liberals are all about emotion. Period

And now there’s a post saying Hillary called a friend and was sobbing so uncontrollably she could be understood as she blamed Comey and Obama for her loss - more proof she isn’t a mature adult and is unfit for the WH...

“Liberals talk only to other liberals.”

I’ve been thinking on this. It seemed obvious when seeing Hillary’s supporters in stunned grief that they had been mugged by a reality they didn’t know existed.

We all know people who are liberals. Because liberals tend to be vocal, tend to control the media, and tend to control our universities, their views are well known.

Liberals regularly rub elbows with conservatives as well. But I think any conversation between the two groups is one- way, with liberals doing most of the talking. We have been “jammed” for so long, most conservatives simply don’t bother making an effort to be understood.

As liberals learned in this election, the loss is theirs.

Most conservatives simply don’t bother making an effort because it’s a waste of time.....................
