Nonsense; the “counseling” is to help the teachers’ union members re-group for their next attack on us taxpayers.
“Counseling” usually makes things worse. But it’s their own funeral.

For a lot of these kids, it’s the first time they’ve experienced disappointment in the real world. No participation trophy, safe space, or self-esteem building pats on the back from their helicopter parents. In short: Welcome the real world, the one that doesn’t give a Tinker’s Damn about your feelings.
The kids are alright, it’s the kook liberal profs who need the couch.
I attended school during the Korean War, the Cold War, and the Cuban missile crisis, and there was no “counseling”.
We’ve really got a generation of wusses on our hands, thanks to the brainwashing from government schools.

I thought college got kids ready for reality. Who is going to hold their hand when they enter the real world? I used to be proud I had a kid in grad school - now it’s embarrassing. Snowflake coddling centers.
