Their economy would crash under the weight of all those illegals and the shut off of the federal gravy train.

Better to split the state into three separate states, like they’ve been trying to do since I was in grade school.

I suspect the conservative North State region would seek to detach from CA, leaving an overly packed, liberal rump state out on its own.

Yeah, that meme is getting—and I suspect will be getting—a real workout this week.

We’re gonna need a considerably bigger wall. Maybe we can get them to pay for it.

Good we keep Camp Pendleton and San Diego , and the est coast part of the state, and they take all north and coastal areas.

Where do I sign up for it?

This has happened before. In 1849 or so...the little settlement of Rough and Ready formed their own country some time in late June.

Around rolls the 4th of July. It was mentioned that the new settlement could not celebrate the 4th of July as that was an American holiday. So they passed the bottle and voted to go back to America so that they could celebrate the 4th.

So much for resolve.

The areas away from the coast started the movement to break away and form a new state more in line with conservative values. Let most of the coast go, Ask them to take Chicago with them.

WE will tax travel and flights to Las Vegas to pay for social services there.

If they agree to take far western Washington and Oregon with them I’m all for it. There are many, many heads exploding in Seattle and Portland right now.

Well, that’s one way to work out my plan. California makes it so hard to do business with their insane environmental regulations that it’s just not worth it.

In my company, we formulate chemical products specifically for California (not nearly as good)or have other products we don’t sell there.

My opinion is that if ten-fifteen really big companies (GM, Gas companies, Home Depot, Walmart etc.) announced that effective in six months, they would cease California operations, the regulations would fall and California would be come more normal.

But, notwithstanding my idea, seceding works too.

We should negotiate for the assignment of their electoral votes and they must agree not to request foreign aid from the USA for 50 years.

They can go!!!! Just as soon as they pay back the 500,000,000,000 in national debt they have run up. Can we sue them for it when they leave?

Allegedly, they think they have a legal basis to do so. Unfortunately, most states until 1865 thought they had the right of nullification. Massachusetts was the first to temporarily leave the Union in 1842, if I recall correctly. The only legal obligation to the US is based on the treaty with the Republic of Texas. Texas has the right to break into 5 states, if IT chooses to do so. 8 more conservative senators. If California’ treaty has a similar right to secede then they may have a point.

It’s real - quite a few of my colleagues and acquaintances are talking about it here. I put it down to the grieving process and the shocked realization that there’s an America that cares more than just the next app to walk your dog or have the latest tofu burger delivered at work.

It’s hilarious as I risk life and limb being a conservative here - and it doesn’t help that I am an immigrant who doesn’t fit the behavior of a slave on the Dem plantation.

People like me immigrated to the US - not for economic reasons - but because we were sick of the corruption, socialism, and government where we came from. Why the F would we want to remake America to be something we fled from?

Idiot leftist scum.
