yeah I think that was tweaked to have a final poll where no matter what outcome in the election they don’t get laughed at.. Their 3.5 point Trump lead still makes him President
Hillary certainly seems stuck in the low 40’s. Without a Perot type third party candidate, no one wins an election in the low 40’s. This is the first year of this poll. They’ll be famous if Trump wins because they are one of the few polls that have been predicting that. If he loses, they are toast. Better to come up a little short of the final number than over.
I just keep telling everyone to get out there and vote for Trump and ignore EVERYTHING on T.V., on other people's FB pages, on the radio, in newspapers and get ready for a Trump win. :-)

That’s the downside of “herding” behavior. They can be off in proportion to what kind of people will actually vote.
If the electorate that shows up is mostly Republican/Independent, well then they missed voters they should have screened for.
Did they screen all the voters? We’ll find out soon enough.

Some polls had Romney up in 2012 and I believe most polls had Bush ahead in 2004. I even think Bush was up in most of the final 2000 polls, but the DUI thing happened in the final weekend.

It isn’t. No one can predict all the variables in advance.
We can only make observations about the respective campaigns.
Trump finished his campaign in MI. Hillary is trying to hold onto PA.

As far as I'm concerned, not a single poll has it correct! Not a one was right re the primary, so WHY should we believe them now ?

and the last average poll numbers just before election day in 1980 had Reagan up by just 3 and he won by 10.. the blue collar Reagan DEMOCRATS came out in big numbers and were missed in the polling.. if that happens to any decent degree with Trump he’ll win
I think the Comey announcement was discouraging, but hopefully it will make Trump supporters MORE resolved to vote.
This poll seems to predict it will depress GOP turnout.
