538 Senate: Now 54.3% chance Republicans will maintain control
538.com ^ | 11/7/16 | Nate Silver & Co

This was 75-25 D just two weeks ago. How can this kind of shift happen without a like shift in the Presidential race???

Exactly...we can start correcting Congress in two years. For now we cannot give Rats control.

That's a good point. My bigger concern is a Republican or independent who votes for Trump and leaves the Senate vote blank because of a sense of betrayal.

I understand why someone would feel betrayed by some of these jerks, but there isn't any scenario where a Democratic Senate works under any circumstances.

McGinty is bad news.

Love the way Toomey hung "Shady" Katy on her. Even some dems I know call her that. Toomey is a squishy pain in the ass that I have to vote for.

The Presidential election forecast has dropped: Trump was 34-35% chance of winning yesterday. Now it is 30%.

But, the forecast still gives Florida to Clinton, by a very small margin.

Silver has been quoted saying that he believes the polls are missing important voters, and Hillary's probability of winning is lower.... but he still thinks she will squeak by.

Agree. Hate the GOP. But if Trump wants them to win, I vote for them.

It’s not strange at all. After Trump was nominated, a lot of Repubs said they would not support him.

But, Trump being the adult in the room, made the decision to support them in the “down ticket”.

And, after the voters get thru re-electing most of them, I suspect they all are going to be getting a continual stream of emails and letters informing them to get with the program.

Think about it ... it WAS strange.

The two GOP Congressmen who got booed by the crowd had just introduced Trump at a Trump rally.

If the republicans since Obama was elected in 2008, take the house and senate and presidency and all the Governor and Lt Governor and state level chambers: It would be just a pretty amazing rejections to Obama and his policies... Go Trump!!!

Not that those two elections were all that tough to call if that’s your profession. I doubt he’s the only pollster who had a high degree of accuracy in those two cycles. Let’s see how he does over decades.

Because Trump wants to shut down the Cheap Labor Express.
Toomey is beholden to the Club for Cheap Labor and the Chamber of Cheap Labor.

For all his flaws, Toomey was a businessman and didn’t spend his life in politics. He has also been a consistent critic of ObamaCare (one of the key Republicans to back Ted Cruz on this in 2013) in a state where people are now facing huge increases in insurance premiums.

WOW .. what is your problem ..????

It could be they were Hillary plants who were booing ..???
It could be they were just upset because the two congress people had not previously supported Trump.

I think you’re making a mountain out of a mole hill.

This election is very emotional .. and I don’t think it’s strange at all. A lot of us have been very upset with the GOP because they never challenged anything Obama did .. except for ObamaCare .. but they have allowed Obama to punish the American people .. and they stood by and did nothing to stop it.

I think that deserves a few boos now and then .. just to remind them we were not happy with their former choices.

He’s still got hillary 68/32 though i dont know where he found a 3 point lead in any poll. And he’s WRONG about FL!! and NC!! they’re not swing states. They’re trump’s.

We win NV and it’s over.

And he gives 75 25 on VA and PA for hillary. I read it was VERY close in both. He’s a nut.

My nightmare is repubs holding house/senate and Trump not winning.

They are a worthless lot and without Trump they will do nothing.

I voted straight down republican but ONLY to help TRUMP!!

Yeah, but we will have a President who is willing to name names and call the Senate out for misbehavior.

If a demcrat Senate became obstructionist, they will be facing a blood bath at mid-term elections.

If the GOP keeps the Senate, always an uphill battle this cycle for structural reasons, and Trump loose the cause will be crystal clear: GOP sabotage of Trump.

Still, I do not think this is the case. If Senate hopes are brightening it because of Trump and probably is a good sign for the Trumpster as well.

I will be getting up tomorrow at 5 am to vote for Trump.

Here is my prediction for the scenario that we will wake up to on Wed morning:

1. The Media/Clinton/Vote Fraud/Soros/Illegal Alien/Felon/Corruption machine gives the "win" to Hillary.

2. The Republicans keep the House, but lose seats (perhaps 10).

3. The Democrats take the Senate by a slim margin

I hope and pray I am wrong.
